1WayLinks Review : Update and change of heart

in 1WayLinks

A few weeks ago I wrote another 1WayLinks Review but it may have been premature to give it such a good review since I was only about 45 days into using the service when I wrote it.

know now to give a linkbuilding service 90 days of usage prior to reviewing it one way or another.

Here is a post on how to test your linkbuilding service.

Why I don’t recommend 1WayLinks as a linkbuilding service:

Too much time is needed to generate quality backlinks.  Actually, it takes too much time to create backlinks, period… And the links aren’t great, hardly ever result in pingbacks.

The sites used to create the backlinks:

You have to submit a dummy site to host the submitted blog posts, and in this 1WayLinks network, most of these sites are gaining in their upside-down linkjuice-ness.

Most of these sites aren’t getting many of their hosted articles indexed, therefore the potential for a backlink decreases, and if they did get your posted article indexed, it doesn’t have much value…

Why doesn’t a link form the dummy sites have much value?

Because most articles have 3 backlinks in them, which means the dummy sites are linking out 3 times per new post added.

And since these are dummy sites, the owners probably aren’t spending time getting incoming links to their dummy sites, therefore the linkjuice of the sites are getting worse with each added article.

IF YOU added a dummy site to their network in order to use their service, would you spend time getting links to it for others’ benefit?

right…you wouldn’t and they’re not.

The dummy sites have next to no linkjuice, hardly any of their dupe-content filled sites get their posts indexed, and it takes a while to write 250-word articles for little to no gain in the SERPs.

Oh yeah, and your articles aren’t really going into relevant categories, either.

The associate membership level for Backlink solutions has similar quality sites at their lower level, but you only have to write 60 words, and you only get 1 backlink per blurb written.

This means the sites hosting your blurbs don’t lose all their linkjuice by luinkin gout 3 times per article hosted-and-posted.

Also, since you only have to write 60 word blurbs, their spinner tool makes it easy to create massive quantities of backlinks in a very short time.

So why do you bad mouth this service and still use it? I found one of your posts on my blog in the 1WL network from just 10 days ago. And by the way, I have several PR 2 and PR 3 blogs in the network that are fully indexed. 1WL works great if you use it for what it intended for… tier 3 links and anchor text variety.

I don’t use it, haven’t used it months, and wouldn’t use it even it it were free. I “bad-mouthed” it because I did a lot of testing with it and just about every other service I’ve used and reviewed has been superior to it.

I read your blog everyday it seems like Daniel because you pop up for every service name that I subscribe to. Gotta say – you really surprised me with this post and I honestly found myself wondering if you had been drinking when you wrote this LOL.

1waylinks is like a hammer. It all depends on how you handle it and what you use it for that determines it’s effectiveness.

5000 junk blogs in the right hands can be quite useful.

Lee, thanks for the feedback and for questioning my sanity :)

With all humility pushed to the side, I’m the THOR of testing link building services, (I know how to use a hammer).

1wl sucks, unless something changed since I was last there, are they still using junk donor blogs with upside link juice posting content that gets indexed for like 30 seconds, if at all?

Hi Dan,

The system is still the same. I am using the network for Tier 3 links and I would say that about 50-75% of the links stay indexed. That’s my experience with the network and I’m using it for over 12 months.

I randomly checked few URLs just now and I got 7 out of 10 in the G index. My biggest complain about the network is that they are overpriced, concerning that you get 250 posts for a month, while AMA or MyArticleNetwork allow you for unlimited submissions.

All in all, 1WayLinks is a nice addition to a link profile. More IPs and more anchor variety. I would definitely go for BS or AR if money is involved, but if you can afford it and need all the links you can get, I would recommend it.

Great site, by the way. You REALLY offer a value with your posts and research. I jumped into few investments due to your posts (and visitor comments) and it payed off ;)

Hi James, thanks for checking back. Would you mind doing a test for me with 1WL? I will pay for however many articles you’d be willing to distribute through that network, then track the results. If it works then great, I will go back to recommending it, however I stopped using it for a reason, and the updates and feedback I get on it (privately) are from users still in the network perhaps for good reason. So if you’re OK with it, I’d pay you to do some submissions there, and will also pay for the articles that get written for the 1WL submissions

I’m willing to help you out. The things is, I’m from a country that doesn’t accept PayPal payments, so you can forget about paying me. Just send the articles and I’ll submit them in the network. Use my email address stated here for all the details.
