In the previous post Link Building tips for newbies, Part 1, we discussed what backlinks are, how they get traffic to your sites, so now we’ll discuss where to get backlinks.
Here’s a list of sources and methods from which to get backlinks:
Blog commenting and article commenting-

Link building tips for newbies
If you’re a first-time visitor to this site (linkvanareviews.com) then you might be overwhelmed with some of the different levels of link building tips and SEO articles on here, so I thought I’d get back to basics with some link building tips for newbies.
And even for you advanced SEO-ers and readers, it’s still always good to revisit link building fundamentals.
What are links and backlinks?
Consider them votes by other sites and virtual web properties that vote you up in the search engines’ eyes. Generally speaking, the more links you get, the better. However, there’s always more value given to quality backlinks over lower-quality backlinks, and a few quality backlinks could do as much for you as 2000 low-quality spam links like hreferrer spam links.
Free Traffic System Review Updated
This is a follow up to my previous review on Free Traffic System and my results from using them.
The Free Traffic System Case Study:
- I outsourced 10 articles to their writers for $70.00
- This included their staff posting my articles to their network for me, too
- I was targeting 2 terms here so there were 5 articles being syndicated for each term.
- URL Target #1 was page 2-4 for my term prior to the outsourcing of these articles doing the Google Dance. It has now since settled down to a solid Page 2 ranking, same as it was before using FTS but the ranking is solidified now.

I just realized that I never did a full bore Link Farm Evolution review, so here goes:
Link Farm Evolution has evolved much since I bought it, but I didn’t really use it much because I had to keep updating the damn versions. What does Link Farm Evolution do?
Should you ping or get backlinks to your RSS Feeds?
It seems like some people are confused by what pinging is and how it differs from backlinking, and whether they should ping or get backlinks to their RSS feeds.
Pinging notifies sites that accept pings, telling them, “hey, come check this out” and those sites end up checking out what it is you have to share, and getting your latest “mention” indexed.
Backlinking is the art of getting other sites to put a hyperlink on their site pointing to yours.
Q: Does pinging frequently help improve my site’s traffic?
