Daniel McGonagle:: Hi, Tom thanks for doing this text-erview.
What is the name of your product and the url where people can go to learn more about it?
Tom Parsley:: The product is called Backlink Booster, and it is available at www.BacklinkBooster.com. On various forums, some people refer to is as “BacklinkBooster.com”
Daniel McGonagle:: OK, is that product (name) trademarked and how long has that domain name been registered?
Tom Parsley:: Our domain name was first registered on October 10, 2006 and has been active since then. As a result, we hold “First Use” rights with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for the “backlink booster” trademark. In addition, we filed for formal trademark registration with the USPTO in March, 2010 and our application is currently in process for formal trademark protection on the “backlink booster” name.
Daniel McGonagle:: What does it do, how many modules are there, what variety of links are procured, what’s its purpose (for those who don’t understand the purpose of “boosting” links”)?
Daniel McGonagle:: there?
Tom Parsley:: Excellent question. The purpose of Backlink Booster is two-fold: first, it is designed to help get your backlinks crawled and indexed by the search engines as quickly as possible so you get credit for those backlinks.
Second, Backlink Booster helps increase the amount of “link juice” (or PageRank) that each of your backlinks flows to your website. It does this by doing three things: it PINGS, POSTS, & PUBLISHES.
It Pings the top search engines and ping sites to inform them that your backlink exists. This helps the search engines find and index your backlink as quickly as possible. Then Backlink Booster Posts backlinks to your website on up to 64 social networking accounts, which are picked up very quickly by the search engines.
Next, Backlink Booster publishes your backlink on up to 200 RSS directories and aggregators to help build even more backlinks to your backlink. In turn, your backlinks on the RSS directories are republished countless times on various websites that display content from your feed. The result is you have a large number of relevant new backlinks pointing to your original backlink, each of which sends additional link juice to your backlink, which in turn flows to your website.
Finally, Backlink Booster publishes your backlink on our private network of 30 (and growing) content sites to provide even more backlinks to your original backlink, which sends even more link juice to your website. This all happens automatically with just one click of the button each time you boost one of your backlinks.
Tom Parsley:: Backlink Booster also has a dozen tools built into it to make your boosting efforts as easy as and powerful as possible.
Daniel McGonagle:: ok, lots of stuff there, so RSS links, social bookmarking links and in-content links, is that correct so far?
Tom Parsley:: That’s correct.
Daniel McGonagle:: How does the in-content backlink boosting work, how large is that network, are the links contextual amidst content or just “link dumps” on indexed pages?
Tom Parsley:: Currently the in-content network consists of 30 sites, and we are adding new sites each week. We are also pursuing relationships with other content sites to boost backlinks on their sites as well. Our 30 sites primairly consist of true in-content links, and we are continuously adding relevant content to keep up with the link volume. However, a few of the sites are lagging and could be classified as more link dumps, but we are actively working to convert them to true in-content sites.
Daniel McGonagle:: ok, you mentioned a dozen modules, ping, rss, social bookmark and content network, that’s 5, can you name the others, perhaps they’re self-explanatory if you just give the module names?
Daniel McGonagle:: sorry, wireless issues
Tom Parsley:: Actually we have a dozen tools built into Backlink Booster, not necessarily modules. The tools include:
LinkChecker, which validates that the backlink you want to boost actually points to your site and is still active.
LinkFlow allows you to set how many links per day you want boosted to even our your link flow so your activities don’t raise the suspicions of search engines.
MEGABooster allows you to upload a file of your backlinks at one time and Backlink Booster will automatically check each link using LinkChecker and boost the links automatically for you using the settings you create in LinkFlow. MEGABooster also uses the
LinkGrabber and LinkSpinner tools to create unique and relevant anchor text and description for each link boosted.
MAXBooster allows you to export a file of all your backlinks you have boosted that you can use with other SEO tools.
We also have tools (Web2.0 Tracker and ResultsTracker) to help you instantly track your efforts online to see your boosting activity and results.
Tom Parsley:: No problem.
Daniel McGonagle:: ok, sounds comprehensive, are these desktop tools users download or web based tools?
Tom Parsley:: Did my last reply come through?
Daniel McGonagle:: yes
Tom Parsley:: That’s the best part. The entire Backlink Booster system is a web-based application (SaaS) that takes full advantage of cloud computing. You don’t have to install anything on your server (so there is no footprint), you don’t have to configure anything, you don’t need to setup a database, and you never have to worry about installing updates. Simply look into your account from any computer with internet access and you can use Backlink Booster to boost your backlinks. It’s extremely safe and easy to use and you always have the latest version and tools available to you, along with your boosting history and results.
Daniel McGonagle:: ok, good web based tools usually run better anyway. How about making social bookmarking accounts and accounts at the RSS directories/aggregators sites, how’s that done… by us and we give you our login details for those accounts or does BB submit for us under other/different names and accounts?
Daniel McGonagle:: danged wireless grr
Tom Parsley:: We have created social media accounts for 16 different categories at 32 different social networking sites. Whenever you boost a backlink, it is automatically posted to the appropriate account based on your website’s category. In addition, you can setup your own social networking accounts at up to 32 different Web2.0 sites and Backlink Booster will also post on those accounts for you automatically. The same is true for the RSS feeds. We have setup RSS feeds by category at more than 100 RSS directories and aggregators. Whenever you boost a backlink it is automatically published on those feeds. You can also submit a personalized feed of just your backlinks (which Backlink Booster automatically creates for you) to as many RSS directories as you want for additional boosting effect.
Then whenever you boost a new backlink, Backlink Booster will automatically update that feed for you so it posts on those RSS directories. To help you submit your personalized feed to RSS directories, we offer a free tool called RSS Submitter.
This contains a database of the top RSS directories and helps you submit to each one manually. If you want us to do the submission for you, we charge $49 to submit your feed to 100 RSS directories.
Tom Parsley:: LOL…I hear ya, Wireless is a blessing and a curse sometimes.
Daniel McGonagle:: Ok, I think this is a pretty good background on what Backlink Booster does, now I’m going to put you on the spot and ask you if my readers can get some sort of discount for trying your service? You can leave my affiliate link, and subsequent credits out of the equation if that helps facilitate granting them/us a discount of some kind, if possible…
Tom Parsley:: Absolutely, I’d be more than happy to give them a discount. And I’d be even happier to give you an affiliate commission…it’s only fair. How about a 25% discount to them and a 25% commission to you?
Daniel McGonagle:: Ok, cool, that’ll work… We can sort that out later
Tom Parsley:: Fair enough. We’ll create a special Promo Code just for your readers.
Daniel McGonagle:: Is there anything I didn’t ask that you’d like mentioned to help people make better, more informed decisions about Backlink Booster?
Tom Parsley:: I would tell people to visit our website and give it a try. We offer a 15-day free trial so people can see what they are getting before they have to buy it. No obligation, no hassles.
Daniel McGonagle:: Note to self: Self, don’t do text interviews on Skype via wireless, ever again
Tom Parsley:: LOL…damn that was funny.

I think the problem is the limit of sites.
Let’s say I have 10 Money Pages.
I now create 20 Web 2.0 sites for each money page.
Would be a total of 200 sites. And I now create profile links pointing the the 200 properties.
So I would have to enter 200 URLs into Backlink Booster because they are the target urls of the links I want to boost (profile links).
Hi Dan,
I see where you are going based on your example, and you make a good point.
We are in the process of doing two things to address that point:
1. We are going to raise the base number of sites you can setup in the Pro Edition to a larger number. (We will make a decision on the new base number of sites you can setup this weekend, and I’ll post back on Monday for all to see.) Also, you can add as many additional sites to your account as you want at any time. (So if you have 500 sites for which you want to boost backlinks, you can add 500 sites to your Backlink Booster account.)
2. We are developing an Enterprise Edition to specifically address this issue. The new edition will enable you to setup a large number of websites out of the gate (with the option to always add more), and will also boost more of your backlinks every hour. We are working on the Enterprise Edition and it’s still several weeks away from being ready, but our goal is to have this meet “power users’” needs in terms of lots of websites and lots of daily boosting.
I hope this addresses your issue Dan. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you,
Tom
I’ve been using Backlink Booster for nearly a month, so far, I’m loving every cents of it.
Just a question though, how I can reset my boosted backlink to zero? I just notice that many of my backlinks don’t use the proper anchor text.
And also, I notice something when trying MAX Booster :
Microsoft VBScript runtime error ’800a004c’
Path not found
/3310-Export_Links.asp, line 128
Is this normal? And the process is seriously long, man. I’m trying this on a site that has merely 1000+ boosted backlinks. More than one hour but it still says exporting backlinks.
Hi Amir,
Thank you for your compliments and feedback…we greatly appreciate it.
Regarding re-boosting, later this week we are launching a new feature that will allow you to re-boost any backlinks you have already boosted. You can use the same titles/anchor text and descriptions, or enter new information, whichever you prefer.
Also, we are updating re-boosting in conjunction with the upcoming launch of the new IndexChecker tool. Backlink Booster will automatically check the backlinks you have boosted to see if they have been indexed. If they haven’t been indexed yet, Backlink Booster will automatically re-boost those backlinks for you every few weeks until they are indexed. This will make re-boosting a set-and-forget feature and will make Backlink Booster even more powerful.
I’ll be sure to keep you posted on when it will be available.
Regarding the MAXBooster issue, that is not normal and we will check in that ASAP. If possible, could you please open a Help Desk ticket in the Account Manager with the information above so we can track and address the issue properly?
Thank you very much,
Tom
That will be very helpful. However, are you planning on raising the website count? I’ve only got 10 max at the moment with the highest subscription possible (pro I believe).
Hi Adam,
We just increased the number of sites subscribers can setup in the Pro Edition from 10 to 50 sites. If you need more sites, please let me know and we can increase it even further for you.
Thank you,
Tom
Hi Amir,
We believe we have corrected this issue you experienced. If you have a chance, please try to export your backlinks again and open a Help Desk ticket if you experience any more issues. Thank you.
In general, our testing has shown it takes about 1.5 minutes to export 1,000 backlinks, so your export should have been done in that time frame. To help judge how long it will take to export your backlinks, we added a progress bar to the export screen so you can see how far along your export is at any time. Hopefully this helps you track the time it takes to export your backlinks to a file.
If your export takes significantly longer than this, or if the status bar isn’t moving at all over time, then there is most likely an issue. If that does happen, please open a Help Desk ticket so we can assist you.
Take care,
Tom
Tom,
The ability to turn the link checker off would be great. That would allow for tier 2+ links to be loaded and since I check my links in Scrapebox prior I don’t need BB to tell me if my link is there or not.
Having the links tied to a site for reporting is a nice feature. So if rather than turning the link checker off completely, it could still be run (and pick up some tier 1 links) but not inhibit loading of an unidentifiable link, that would be even better. That may be more difficult to code, but just a thought for long-term.
If you can implement some of these recent changes discussed I would definitely be interested. Thanks.
Hi Carrie,
That’s another great suggestion. Let us give this some thought on how we can implement it and we’ll put it in the production queue.
Thank you,
Tom
BACKLINK BOOSTER UPDATE
As I mentioned here on Friday, due to feedback from Backlink Booster subscribers we would be increasing the base number of websites you can setup under your Backlink Booster Pro Edition subscription.
Effective immediately, the base level of websites you can setup under your Pro Edition subscription has been increased from 10 websites to 50 websites. If you are a subscriber and require more sites, please let us know and we would be happy to increase that number even further for you to meet your needs.
Thank you,
Tom
Tom (and Daniel) I have to say that this thread is far more powerful than any sales pitch could be (IMHO). Thank you both for your openness and candid responses. I am really impressed by the way you (Tom) have taken on board what some (most actually) of what the commentors have suggested and are constantly improving your service as a result – I thank you for that.
I have some websites that interlink – Authority Loophole style – i.e. the links on the pages change with each visit/refresh. How will they be affected by the way in which BackLinkBooster works? I am just a little concerned that ‘link wheel’ patterns may appear when they don’t really exist (well, not intentionally anyway).
I have quite a few websites, will the promocode (DM-25-2010-1000) work for the new Enterprise Edition? Supposing I join the Pro Edition now using the promo code, will the 25% discount apply when I upgrade to Enterprise Edition later?
Hi Eddie,
Those are two good questions…hopefully I have some good answers.
Regarding your “link wheel” question, my gut and experience tell me you will be safe for a couple of reasons:
First, even though in your case Backlink Booster would be building backlinks directly to your sites by default (since you are boosting backlinks that reside on one of your sites and point to another one of your sites), the backlinks Backlink Booster creates are from external sites that are independent from yours. Thus, they won’t be backlinks ON your sites themselves, just backlinks from external sites TO your sites.
This is critical in Google’s eyes, especially since the links are from outside your network and aren’t reciprocal. It’s the same as if you were simply building backlinks to those sites themselves, which is completely fine.
Second, Google has publicly stated that they won’t hold external backlinks pointing to your sites against you because you can’t control who links TO you. So worst case scenario in this situation (in my opinion) is Google will simply ignore the new backlinks to your interlinking sites. Best case scenario is these new backlinks give your sites a major boost.
However, I definitely understand your concern and without any internal testing on the subject I’m not 100% confident in my opinion. (I’d like to believe that Google does what they say, but you never know.)
As a result, let me give this some more thought to make sure I’m not overlooking something and see if there is a way we can test it. In addition, I’d love to hear both your and other readers’ opinions on the subject.
Regardless, we can build a setting into Backlink Booster to eliminate this potential risk. And we can make it so you can turn this setting ON or OFF based on your opinions on the subject of boosting interlinked sites.
In general, here’s how it will work:
When the “Boost Interlinks” setting is OFF, Backlink Booster won’t boost a backlink if it’s on one of the sites in your account and is pointing to another site in your account. This disallows boosting backlinks between interlinked sites.
When the “Boost Interlinks” setting is ON, Backlink Booster will boost all backlinks that point to one of your sites, regardless if they are on an independent site or another site in your account. This allows boosting backlinks between interlinked sites.
Basically, if somebody feels boosting interlinked sites is bad, then they can turn this setting OFF. If they feel boosting interlinking sites is good, they can turn this setting ON. That way the subscriber has complete control.
This setting will alleviate the “interlinking” issue discussed above, and I think it would be an excellent feature to add to Backlink Booster. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the idea.
Regarding your second question, I will make sure the promo code works for the new Enterprise Edition so you (and all of Dan’s readers) get the 25% discount for that edition as well.
I’ll be sure to let everyone know when the new edition is available, but in the meantime please let me know if you (or anybody else) need me to increase the number of sites you can setup in your current subscription. (The current limit is 50 sites, but I’d be happy to increase that to meet your needs.)
I hope I answered your questions. Please let me know your thoughts if you have time…I definitely value them.
Thank you,
Tom
Hi Tom
Thanks for the comprehensive response.
I think the option to switch on and off the function that stops Backlink Booster boosting a backlink if it’s on one of the sites in an account that is pointing to another site in that account is an excellent idea. Indeed I believe that any additional functionality has to add value to the service particularly when ‘personal preference’ is involved.
Best Regards
Eddie
Tom,
One question…
When your website states that for the Pro Edition you can boost links for up to 50 websites… Can you please clarify whether this can include both Tier 2 and Tier 3 backlinks? For example, the Tier 3 backlinks wouldn’t be pointing to my website… but instead pointing to some webpage that contains a link that’s then pointing to my website.
How does this affect your 50 websites limit?
Thanks,
Tom
Hi Tom,
That’s an excellent question, and I’m happy to answer it for you.
Currently, to accomplish tiered boosting with Backlink Booster you have to enter the base domain of the Tier 2 site you want to boost as one of your 50 sites. So if you are using a Squidoo Lens as a Tier 2 site, then you need to setup Squidoo.com as one of the websites in your account.
Then when you boost a backlink that points to your Squidoo Lens, BB will see that the backlink is pointing to one of your sites so it will go ahead and boost away.
Again, this is how you currently accomplish tiered boosting in BB. However, you won’t have to do it this way much longer.
We have had some excellent feedback and suggestions from subscribers on tiered linking and we are currently developing a new Tiered Linking feature that will automatically be included in BB Pro edition subscriptions. This new feature will make tiered linking in BB much easier to setup and you won’t have to create a separate website for each Web2.0 site you want to use for tiered linking.
We have scoped out the new Tiered Linking feature and we are currently developing it. I don’t have a launch date yet because our development queue is very full right now (with IndexTracker and Auto ReBoost at the top of the list), but as soon as we set a date I’ll be sure to let you know.
I hope I answered your question. If not, please let me know and I would be happy to provide more information.
Have a great day,
Tom
Thanks for the reply.
Can you at least comment whether the planned Tiered Linking feature might be 2-3 weeks away? Or is 2-3 months (or even longer) more likely?
Thanks again!
Hi Tom,
The Tiered Linking feature is about 3-4 weeks away (possibly sooner depending upon how quickly we can complete other projects in our development queue).
I’ll be sure to give updates as we go along so you know how we are progressing.
Thank you,
Tom
Hi Everybody,
I received a question about deep linking, and I thought I would share the answer with the group since some of you may have the same question.
The question is:
“When setting up websites in my Backlink Booster account, do I need to specify the specific page I want to boost? For example, if I want to boost 5 specific pages in one domain, do I have to setup each page as its own domain?”
The answer is:
No. When you setup a domain in your BB account, BB will boost links to point to ANY page in that domain, regardless of its a link to the home page or a link to a page 5 directories deep. Therefore, just enter the root domain name (i.e. – “domain.com”) you want to boost, and not a specific page in your site (i.e. – “domain.com/new-product.html”) when setting up your websites.
SIDE NOTE: If you want to boost a specific page in your site differently (different Ping.FM or Web2.0 accounts) than the rest of your site, then you can setup that page as its own site and BB will boost it using the boosting preferences you setup for that page.
If anybody has any questions about this, please let me know. I’m happy to elaborate.
Take care,
Tom
Tom, how’s this gonna work, are you going to crawl the site and its inner urls then make some sort of assumption what anchor text is should be used when sending links to these urls based on tags or keywords used on the urls, something like that?
so the “SIDE NOTE” is that apply for let say I have 50 forum profile backlinks, so using uploading file utilized MegaBooster button feature inside member area?
Does it count as 50 websites or how? Not really clear about this?
Thanks,
Joe
I canceled my pro edition subscription to backlinkbooster.com but I want to resubscribe to the pro edition. How do I do this?
Hi Eric – I’m not long a member and I’m sure I saw a link to this option on the dashboard. I’m sure Tom will correct me if I’m wrong however I think you may be able to log in and renew/change your subscription there.
If you can log in, scroll down the page and look under..
Your Subscription Summary
Subscription Edition: PRO (See other editions)
(I think yours may now say ‘Inactive’ instead of PRO)
(See other editions) is a clickable link.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards
Eddie
Sorry, should have added it takes you to a page with all Subscription Editions so you can choose the one that best suits you. – Eddie
Hi Eric,
Eddie is absolutely correct in his directions. (Thank you Eddie!) When you log into your account, Backlink Booster should take you to the page where you can select your preferred subscription edition. (If it doesn’t, please follow Eddie’s instructions above on how to get to that page.) From there, select your preferred subscription edition and complete the checkout process.
If you have any issues or questions, please submit a ticket via the Help Desk and I would be happy to help you.
Take care,
Tom
When I went back into my account, my status says suspended. When I press the “View Subscription Editions” button I only get two options available and neither is the Pro Edition. Can you tell me what I should do if I want the Pro Edition at the 25% discount?
Hi Eric,
If possible, please submit a ticket via Backlink Booster’s Help Desk and I’ll be able to help you out right away.
Thank you,
Tom
Is this product more effective than say ping back optimizer and similar word press plugin approaches?
Hi David,
Thank you very much for your interest in Backlink Booster. I appreciate your question, and I’ll be happy to give you an honest answer with details and not a lot of “product hype.”
In our opinion Backlink Booster (BB) is more effective than Wordpress plugins for several reasons:
First, BB is a complete web-based application that is hosted on our servers. As a result, you don’t have to install anything on your computer or build any “boosting” sites. You just log into your account, setup your websites, import your backlinks and that’s it. Backlink Booster takes care of all the work for you.
Second, BB works extremely well with UAW and other backlink-building tools. Simply import a file of your backlinks and they will automatically be boosted. It’s a very quick and easy process using BB’s built-in import feature.
Third, BB uses 4 very powerful methods to boost your backlinks:
1) it Pings the search engines to alert them that your backlink exists;
2) it Places links to your backlink on our network of 30 in-content sites;
3) it Posts backlinks to your backlink on 32 of the top social networking sites via our accounts; and
4) it Publishes backlinks to your backlink on more than 100 RSS directories via our category-based RSS feeds.
This all happens automatically each time a backlink is boosted, and doesn’t require any effort on your part.
In addition, you have the option to increase the boosting even more by setting up XTRA RSS Boost and XTRA Web2.0 Boost for your account. When you do this, your backlinks are also boosted over your own Web2.0 accounts and your websites’ custom RSS feed of boosted backlinks that Backlink Booster creates is also published on as many RSS directories as you want to submit it to.
XTRA Boosting is optional, and you can either set it up yourself or we offer a new XTRA Boost setup service. The service will submit your sites’ custom feed of boosted backlinks to 100 RSS directories. It will also create accounts at 32 Web2.0 sites and tie them to a new Ping.FM account it creates for you so your backlinks are boosted on your own web2.0 accounts.
The cost of this new setup service is a one-time fee of $19, and it gives you all the XTRA Boosting results, without any effort. If you prefer to take the time to setup your XTRA Boosting yourself, you absolutely can do that and there is no cost to do so.
I hope I answered your question. If you have more questions, please let me know and I would be happy to help.
Have a great day,
Tom
Anyone seeing positive results from BB.com? Dan?
Setting up a single website in BLB takes 1 hr (with adding RSS directories). SO, if you are doing tiered link building then this is definitely not for you.
BLB has a link checker and that will only allow links that has link to your main website. If you are targeting backlinks to tier 2 and you want to boost those links then you need to add all these as separate websites which is very hard task.
I used LL also, and you can use that for tiered link building. I asked to refund my money for BLB..Hope they give it back.
Pete, Tom will give you your refund if they offer refunds, and will probably take your comment into consideration to see if they can do the tiered linking, but BLB is for boosting links, so if you give if different tiered links to boost then it does tiered linking for you, right?
BLB helps in indexing your links in search engines. Tiered linking is not possible unless you sit and add each website.
Consider this link building website C -> website B -> Website A
Website A is my main website here. So, I started with adding Website A to BLB then added all my backlinks from website B. Now there is no need to add website B to BLB. But if I want to add backlinks from website C to B then I have to again add all my websites in second tier which are in thousands. So, if I have 5 tier linkbuilding I may end up adding lots of websites to BLB.
Hi Pete,
I just received and replied to your help desk ticket. I was more than happy to provide you with a refund since Backlink Booster didn’t meet your needs and I processed a full refund for you.
FYI…we are still working on a new Tiered Linking feature to accommodate your needs for boosting 5,000 backlinks to 2,0000 intermediary sites that link to your money sites. This feature is still several weeks away from being ready, but I’ll be sure to let you know when it is available in case you want to try it.
I wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,
Tom
I liked your service very much. Only problem is that you won’t allow tiered link building. My suggestion is to just remove the link checker feature and allow all the URLs in the MegaBooster. Users can upload the links for each of the websites and you can boost those links. Isn’t it simple ?
Hi Pete,
I definitely appreciate your feedback. It’s the best way for us to make Backlink Booster as powerful as possible at meeting our customers’ needs.
Removing the LinkChecker we developed is very easy for us to do, but it also takes away a lot of the powerful functionality and benefits LinkChecker provides our subscribers:
1. You don’t know if the links you are boosting are still valid or not. This has been very valuable information for our subscribers.
2. You have to enter unique titles and descriptions for each link instead of having LinkChecker automatically pull that information for you when boosting backlinks. This can be a lot of work for thousands of links.
3. You have to know which sites your links point to when importing in order for them to be boosted properly across your sites’ RSS feeds and Web2.0 sites. (This is one of the biggest reasons the majority of our customers have asked for LinkChecker…it figures out which of their sites their links point to and boosts them accordingly.)
However, I definitely see your point in terms of wide-spread tiered linking. While we are working on a solid tiered-linking feature, it will be difficult to develop one that will effectively meet your needs in terms of tiered linking with more than 2,000 intermediary sites while using LinkChecker.
Having said that, we are definitely in favor of providing our customers with options in how they want to use their account. We don’t think we should force our customers to use LinkChecker to check their links if they don’t want to. Therefore, we will see how we can modify BB to allow you to turn off LinkChecker to enable wide-spread tiered linking.
After giving it some thought, we could let you turn LinkChecker ON/OFF for batches of links that you import into your account for boosting. That way you can turn LinkChecker on for your links that you want to have checked, and you can turn LinkChecker off for processing your tiered links. You would lose the benefits of having these tiered links pass through LinkChecker, but at least they will be boosted quickly.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this and if you think it would meet your needs for wide-scale tiered linking.
Thank you,
Tom
Tom,
Thanks for your time and detailed reply. I understood the benefits of LinkChecker but sometimes these extra checks are not needed. LinkChecker takes time to go through each URL and validate it. But if you provide an option to switch LinkChecker ON/OFF then there wouldn’t be any issue with tiered link building.
Thanks for considering my suggestion. Let us know once this is implemented.
Hi Pete,
We’ll put that in our production queue, and I think it will be a good addition to Backlink Booster. I’ll be sure to let you know when it is ready.
Thank you very much for your suggestion…I definitely appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Tom
Tom, BackLinkBooster seems like a great indexing tool to me. The only trouble I have with it is that it will only boost a max of 120/links per site per day. I can easily have 1000 links or more to boost/ day on my site.
Is there anything I can do to use BLB to boost more than 120 links/day/site?
Is there any reason it would be detrimental to me to do so?
I can’t agree more. I have more than 6000 pending links, and I haven’t add any links since few days ago. This can be frustrating, what with the new linkchecker which is so slow in checking links.
BacklinkBooster have been great in my SEO campaign, I have achieved many ranking surge for even the toughest keyword, but this is kinda disappointing.
This may help – as a Backlink Booster member, you should have received this a couple of days ago.
Hi,
We have been working extremely hard to make some major updates to Backlink Booster to make it even more powerful, and we are very close to launching these 8 new features:
1. Faster Link Processing. We completely revamped our LinkChecker process to greatly increase how quickly your backlinks are checked and boosted. This update will enable LinkChecker to process 25 times more links per day so your links are boosted much faster.
2. New Boosting Limits. Instead of limiting your boosting to a maximum of 120 links per day per website that you setup in your account, the Pro Edition will boost up to 3,600 backlinks per day for your account regardless of the number of websites you setup.
3. Unlimited Websites. Instead of limiting the number of websites you can setup in your account to 50, we will allow you to setup as many websites as you want. This will enable you to boost backlinks for whatever websites you want.
4. Tiered Linking. If you are building tiered links and want to boost them, Backlink Booster will now be able to boost these links without requiring you to setup the tiered websites in your account. Just load your backlinks and they will automatically boost. This will save you a lot of time and effort and make your account setup and management process much easier.
5. New Account Setup Package. We now offer a new package through a 3rd party service where they will setup 32 web2.0 accounts for you and tie them to a new Ping.FM account they also setup for you that will be used for boosting for your backlinks. In addition, they will submit the custom RSS feed Backlink Booster creates for your account to 100 of the top RSS directories for additional boosting results. The service costs a
one-time fee of $15 and is typically completed within 2 days. This makes setting up your account extremely quick and easy.
6. New Link Importing Methods. In addition to capturing links using the Boost Button and importing CSV files of links, you will be able to import links via RSS feeds and also copy and paste links directly into your account. You will also be able to automatically import links from other backlink-building tools directly into your account for boosting.
7. IndexChecker. Backlink Booster will check all of the backlinks you boost to see if they have been indexed yet or not. It will also provide you with indexing reports to see what percentage of your backlinks have been indexed.
8. Auto ReBoosting. In conjunction with IndexChecker, Backlink Booster will automatically re-boost any of your links that haven’t been indexed until they get indexed. And if any of your links stop being indexed, Backlink Booster will automatically start boosting them again until they get re-indexed. This is a very powerful new feature that will have a major impact on your indexation rate.
We are very excited about these new updates, and we will be releasing them starting later this week and over the next couple of weeks. I will be sure to send you an email each time one becomes available.
Also, most of these updates were the result of feedback from subscribers like you. If there are features you would like to see added to Backlink Booster please send us your feedback. We’d love to hear from you.
Best Regards,
Tom
You are very right Eddie, I received it, and somehow it is marked as read! Huh. I must’ve been a test tube babies aged 113 then.
I take back what I said. BacklinkBooster is awesome (only applicable after they implement the new features).
Can we use BB to boost our money site pages? Is it safe?
Dan, Tom has some great features coming out for bb.
He has a $15 setup fee, per domain, for a backlinkbooster.com unique-package for a 32-web 2.0 setup for indexing & juicing backllinks. The site is in the midst of a system upgrade – but it will be great to hear Tom’s feedback on the new features.
Hi Paul,
Thank you for mentioning the setup service.
We partnered with a 3rd party company to provide a service where they will setup your XTRA Boosting for you. This includes setting up 32 social networking accounts and tying them to a new Ping.FM account that Backlink Booster uses for posting to your social networking accounts. In addition, it they will submit your the custom RSS feed of boosted backlinks that Backlink Booster creates for your account to 100 RSS directories for publication and distribution. As you mentioned, the cost of this service is a one-time fee of $15.
Right now ordering the setup service is a bit of a manual process and we apologize for that. We are currently working to streamline and automate that as soon as we get our current update finished.
Speaking of which, we are in the middle of a major system upgrade with lots of new features and we are almost done. (This is our 3rd all-nighter in a row…too much coffee and Diet Mountain Dew for sure.) Anyway, I’ll be sure to update everybody here when it’s done and all the new features are available. We are very excited about them and can’t wait to have this update fully in place.
Having said that, I REALLY want to thank everybody for their patience with this upgrade. It is taking longer than anticipated (as usual) and I am absolutely amazed at how great our customers are…and I sincerely mean that. It means a lot to us and makes us want to work that much harder for all of you.
Best Regards,
Tom
Hi Henry,
The key point to remember with Backlink Booster is you are boosting the pages that link to your site to get them indexed (and also to increase the amount of link juice each link sends to your site). As a result, there is a level of protection built in from that standpoint and you can feel comfortable using Backlink Booster to boost your money site pages.
To help you from an empirical standpoint: we have boosted more than 3 million links in the past 6 months and I haven’t heard any of any sites getting in trouble from doing so. Typically I would hear loud and clear if that was happening, but I certainly don’t have all the data so please take those stats with a grain of salt.
SIDE NOTE: Another key point to remember is Google has stated several times that they won’t punish you for links TO your site because you can’t control who links to you. (Links FROM your site is another story and they hold you directly responsible for those.)
If Google did hold inbound links against a site, it would be very easy to tank a competitor’s site. And in my opinion it would be the Wild West all over again as people focused on rising in the SERPs through attrition by tanking their competitors’ sites.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I would be happy to answer them.
Best Regards,
Tom
Theoretically, what Henry is saying about links to your site should be true. However, in practice, I found that this is not the case. If I create an article and submit it with AMR and many other serivices simultaneously ( very well spun article). If links are not varied and spread about, Google does punish me, at least temporarily. Others I have talked to have the same experience. Therefore, I don’t think what Henry says about this is true.
However, Back Link Booster will not cause a problem, because like he says, it’s building links to links for indexing and link juice.
So Back Link Booster should prove very worthwhile, particularly with the changes that are being implemented. I look forward to using it more.
I don’t vary my AMR submissions at all (other than spinning them to 300%), and submit them all in one go and have never had any “punishment” from Google. Are your sites new, new-ish, or have very little links to begin with?
Oh, excuse me. Tom wrote the above comment, not Henry. So my reply was to Tom. Sorry.
Adam, the reason you don’t have a problem is probably because you have older high PR sites. Of course these type of sites are not effected very much. But newer, lower PR sites are.
Hi James,
I have seen some of our newer sites get put in “timeout” for up to a week if we built a LOT of new backlinks directly to that site very quickly. (We have never had any issues with boosting backlinks, however…most likely due to the level of insulation you get from building links to links.)
What happened to us (on a couple occasions) is one of our new sites was climbing rapidly in SERPs as we built lots of new links to it, and then all of a sudden one day the site was gone from the SERPs. (This can be very unnerving, and the first time it happened to us we panicked.) However, the site was back in the SERPs about 5 days later, and it came back higher than when it went into timeout. (We started breathing again.)
Our best guess on this is Google notices these “fast climbers” and puts them in timeout for a bit while Google sorts through everything to make sure it’s legitimate. In our experience, this timeout period has usually taken a week or less, and fortunately we have never had a long-term negative effect from resulting from it.
Having said that, I completely respect that other people may have had different experiences with their sites. Did your site ever come back as your new links “aged” a bit, or did it stay down in SERPs?
Best Regards,
Tom
Ok, so how many links can I put into the system per day right now? Is the 3,600 links/day option already active and working with the Pro edition?
What kind of indexing rate can I expect?
Hi Daniel, firstly would like to say I love your blog, finding myself reading t daily and using it as a valuable resource to get your opinion on any linkbuilding methods I might be interested in.
I have signed up with highest membership with backlinkbooster and am hoping for some good results. I am putting the live links from article marketing robot, and also build my rank, and my link wheels, through the system.
I paid for the service of rss submissions, and social accounts creation and I must say it was completed quickly
I am curious though what kind of results have you seen using this? Have you noticed that it actually does get your backlinks indexed? I am yet to see results as far as indexing of links in yahoo site explorer goes…Its been a few weeks, maybe a little to early to know.
I need some advice here.
Currently, I have different niches that I promote. Can I promote it using the same account of backlink booster or do I must to open new account? It is because recently I order to get more linking power through your friend who you recommend but from what I understand that these RSS and PingFM account is just about One Niche only (financial spread betting)
How to boost different links from different niche?
I just wanted to warn anyone considering BacklinkBooster that I signed up over a month ago and have had none of my links boosted. It’s been a constant litany of excuses related to upgrading issues w/ no resolution in sight.
I can understand a week or two of problems and working out quirks, but this is ridiculous. I recommend you look elsewhere for link indexing and boosting; at least until someone can confirm that the service is actually online and working.
Results:
- $60 charged
- 0 backlinks boosted
- 1.5 months of time wasted
Hi Steve,
I want to apologize for how long it took us to complete the upgrade. It was much more complicated than anticipated and it took much longer than we thought it would.
The good news is we have completed the upgrade, and the system is now processing links faster than ever. Our LinkChecker is processing more than 1.5 million links per day, so your links should be boosting at the LinkFlow Level you set for your account.
If that has not been happening for your account, could you please submit a help desk and I would be happy to look into your account to make sure everything is processing correctly We have had some issues with a number of accounts as a result of our upgrade, and most likely your account is one of those and I need to manually adjust it so your links boost correctly.
Also, if your links haven’t been boosting I would be happy to refund your payments to you since you haven’t been getting what you paid for.
If you can submit a help desk ticket at your earliest convenience I would be happy to help you right away.
Best Regards,
Tom
Hi all
I am considering purchasing some sort of Backlink booster.
Do they really work?
Can anyone recommend in others for me to compare?
Regards
Chris
I thought I got a good handle on what the service provided and thought it was easy to add links of multiple niche, so I’d like to see the quest made by Henry answered.
If I understand correctly the main system can does a certain level of juicing which can be applied to any niche but the xtra set up is for other sites and this be focused on a certain niche — from what Henry mentioned above. I was about to pull the trigger, but I would like some clarification here if I could.
Thanks,
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
I would be happy to answer your question for you. I’m not 100% certain of what details you would like, so I’ll give a brief overview of what I think you are asking in hopes that I address your question.
You can use Backlink Booster to boost “direct” links (links that point directly to your site), or “indirect” links (links that point to other sites that in turn have links that point to your site…aka “tiered” links). In addition, you can boost specific pages on your site directly to have them boosted.
You can do this for as many of your sites as you want, without any limit. These sites can be your money sites, tiered sites, affiliate sites, social networking accounts, etc.
Backlink Booster has 3 levels of boosting: System, Account and Site. Every link you boost automatically gets boosted at the System Level. You can also setup XTRA Boostig (Account Level Boosting and Site Level Boosting) to generate even more link juice from the links you boost. You can set these up manually, or we offer a Setup Service for $15 that will setup your Account Level Boosting or Site Level Boosting for one of your websites. This is a one-time fee and you only have to setup your XTRA Boosting one time.
This XTRA Boosting will be used to boost all of your backlinks for your account, regardless of the website or niche they are pointing to. As a result all of your links get the XTRA Boosting power from your account.
I hope this makes sense and I provided an answer to your question. Please let me know if you have more questions and I would be happy to help.
Best Regards,
Tom
Hi Tom, thanks for your time. I have a few more questions if you don’t mind that others may want clarification on as well.
With each niche website I have would I need to get the XTRA boost setup again to use the XTRA boost at site level? So, if I want to use this level of boosting and have 3 seperate sites, I would have to have XTRA Boost set up 3 different times for the site level?
In other words, all the RSS/Web 2 accounts included in it would have to be set up again so the links from those accounts just point to the one site.
What if I have separate sub niches per site where as I do deep linking to specific sub niches. As long as they are in a general niche, this should not matter?
Are all the links that are being boosted on one page or they all separate posts?
If people are uploading a ton of xrummer links and such, would this flag the Admins of the hyper activity, or effect the account adversely somehow, diluting the power of the links?
If I initially just use the system level that doesn’t require the Xtra Boost levels set up for both the account and site levels, will I be able to easily boost the links boosted first at system level later at the other 2 levels?
I appreciate your time,
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
I’d be happy to answer your additional questions. I hope it’s ok, but I’ll re-arrange the questions a bit so my answers flow better.
1. You can initially just boost your links using the System Level boosting that is automatically enabled for your account. This lets you start boosting without having to setup anything up.
2. To get additional boosting, you can setup Account Level Boosting, Site Level Boosting, or both. Doing this can double the amount of boosting each of your backlinks gets from the system.
3. If you boost links and then setup Account Level and/or Site Level boosting, you can easily set the boosted links to re-boost so they will be boosted across your new boosting networks. (SIDE NOTE: Re-boosting is a good idea for all of your links. We recommend that you re-boost all of your links on a periodic basis to maximize their indexation rate and the amount of link juice each link sends to your website.)
4. When setting up Account Level XTRA Boosting, it will boost all of the links in your account, regardless of which niche or website. You only have to set this up once and links for new websites you setup under your Backlink Booster account will automatically be boosted at this level, in addition to the System Level.
5. We created Site Level Boosting in response to SEO companies who wanted to boosted their clients’ links separately, so you need to setup Site Level Boosting on a site-by-site basis. To setup Site Level Boosting for a website, you can use our Setup Service. Backlink Booster automatically creates and updates RSS feeds for each of your sites that contains just the links for that site. The setup service will publish your site’s RSS feed to 100 RSS directories for a one-time fee of $6 to give your site XTRA RSS Boosting. In addition, if you want to setup XTRA Web2.0 Boosting for your site the setup service will create 30+ new social networking accounts and tie them to a new Ping.FM account for posting. The cost to do this is a one-time fee of $9. The good news is you can re-use this one set of Web2.0/Ping.FM accounts for all of your Site Level Boosting, so you don’t have to purchase this setup for each website you want to setup. (NOTE: you cannot use the same web2.0/PingFM package for both Account Level and Site Level boosting because that would simply result in duplicate posts on your web2.0 accounts.) So once you setup one set of web2.0/ping.fm accounts for your Site Level boosting, it costs just $6 to have one of your site’s RSS feed submitted to 100 RSS directories. This saves a lot of money in setting up your account if you have a lot of sites.
Having said this, I want to stress that setting up Account Level and Site Level boosting for your account is completely optional. However, we do strongly recommend that you at least setup Account Level boosting for your account.
6. You are correct that it doesn’t matter if you boost links for sub-niches that fall under the same primary niche. You can boost all of these links at the niche level to save time and money.
7. Regarding boosting lots of links on a daily basis, we have don a LOT of testing on this. We have boosted lots of accounts at 3,000 links per day without any issues, but every once in a while an account that is only boosting 1,000 links per day will have some of it’s Web2.0 accounts shut off. We replace these with new Web2.0 accounts and don’t have any issues again. It’s frustrating that it seems to happen on an intermittent basis because we can’t determine a specific threshold boosting level. However, we have never had any issues boosting 500 or fewer links per day, and we have had very few issues boosting as high as 3,000 links per day. My advice would be for you to set your LinkFlow Level a bit low to start and then gradually increase it each day to the level you want.
I hope I answered your questions. Please let me know if I missed any (or if you have more) and I would be happy to help.
Best Regards,
Tom
Thanks again Tom for a detailed reply.
I guess the confusion that I and one of the other commenters had was that when filling out the info to create the account level RSS feed and when sending the information required to get the setup done — it requires the website, description, keywords, and category.
So, I guess if we are in multiple niches, we’ll just have to add information related to our first websites backlinks, and expect the feed to act as a catch all for our different niches. Even though when we submit the feed it will focus on on specific niche — it will actually serve for niches outside of the initial submission as the account level feed. Do I got this right? Should I provide information that is general, so that it is not to similar when wanting to submit feed for site level that includes the same link or just the most relevant for URL and first group of backlinks?
I ask this because most of my niches are sub niches that are promoted on one site so that would probably be the first site level site I would add. But the account level RSS will get quite mixed for I do have some new sites that are diverse.
I have had the same URL used for RSS submissions before. Will directories care, as long as the Feed is different?
How does adding the same backlinks to the same Web 2 sites and RSS feed directories by setting up the site level XTRA boost benefit the links when they have already been linked to from those properties? Is there an advantage because they are from other pages from those same Web 2 and Rss directories?
I wasn’t thinking that there would be that much added value by getting the backlinks to my links from the same sites it already getting links from. I figured the S.E would devalue duplicate domain links.
BTW the video on the XTRA Boost page does show up in the pop-up window.
Thanks again for the support, Tom.
Hi Bryan,
You are correct about setting up the Account Level RSS feed. It will be used to boost all of the links in your account, and the info you enter when setting up the feed is simply used as a placeholder for boosting the links. As a result, we recommend that you use “generic” information when setting up this feed. Also, the URL you provide for this feed is not used for boosting your links so feel free to enter whatever URL you want.
I apologize that the Setup Service is fairly confusing to order. We are currently revamping the process for ordering the setup service to make it easier to order and completely turnkey so you don’t have to do anything on your end to set it up once you order the package.
Setting up Site Level boosting for a site doubles the number of links built to your site from RSS directories and from web2.0 accounts. This is because your Site’s RSS feed is published on completely different pages on 100 RSS directories than your Account’s RSS feed. As a result, XTRA RSS Boosting builds 200 new links (100 from your Account RSS feed and 100 from your Site RSS feed) to each backlink you boost.
Also, the web2.0 accounts used for boosting your links at the Account Level are different than the web2.0 accounts used for boosting your links at the Site Level. As a result, XTRA Web2.0 boosting builds 60 unique links (30 from your account’s web2.0 accounts and 30 from your site’s web2.0 accounts) to each backlink you boost.
Since Google treats links on a page-by-page basis (not a domain-by-domain basis), you get credit for all of these links to your backlinks because they are on different pages.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have additional questions and I would be happy to help.

Tom
Hi Tom, thanks again for clarification.
I have some backlinks built to web 2 sites that I used a main/money site to promote affiliate offers. Would I set up those Web 2 properties as sites in Backlink Booster site setup or just import them to be treated as indirect links without bothering with the site setup?
I guess this is only for the purpose of tracking backlinks, but I also use the same Web 2 properties(different pages) as backlinks to my own hosted sites. So, I don’t know if I would get any benefit from setting them up as direct links for those Web 2 properties are backlinks to my self hosted sites as well.
What is your suggestion in setting up Web 2 other third party sites that I have links pointing that are used a money site?
Thanks again for all your help here. It’s been helpful and I have imported 4 different files of links for the system level successfully. I would be interested in knowing when the copy & paste function is added as well as the XTRA boost setup in changed. I’ll probably go about getting the XTRA boost for account level first sometime soon. If the changes will be implemented soon, let me know, and I may wait until they are in place.
I’m pretty good to go at this point, just need clarification of if Web 2 sites we use as destination/money sites need to be setup some how as direct links. Again, not sure how they would be treated different from the ones used mainly as backlinks.
Thank you very much for your time,
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
You can boost your indirect links in two ways:
1. You can setup the intermediary site as one of the sites in your account.
2. Or you can just boost those links without setting up the intermediary sites in your Backlink Booster account.
The links will be boosted the same either way, but if you set the intermediary sites up in your account then BB will give you more detailed reporting and tracking options for those links. If you use option #2 above, then all of those links will be aggregated in your INDIRECT LINKS report.
If you only have a few intermediary sites, or a lot of links to a couple intermediary sites, then I would recommend setting those sites up in your account so you get better visibility into your boosting efforts and results by site.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have more questions and I would be happy to help.
Best Regards,
Tom
Hi Tom,
I’m not sure if the data would give me accurate data if I setup up these intermediary sites for I can’t really differentiate them from the same Web 2 sites that link to my self hosted site.
I haven’t been getting tickets responded to in a decent time frame so I have been getting my answers here much a faster.
I closed my other tickets for you answered my questions quickly. I did open a new one today, for my links have been in the “Ready to Boost” queue for days now, but not one has been boosted according to the reports. I imported some links 4 days and imported another file a couple days ago. I thought I should check if any have been boosted for I noticed the other day, none were boosted yet, and today could see they are none boosted yet. The linkflow level is currently set at 100. Can you look into this issue for me?
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
I’d be happy to check your account for you right away to see what the issue is. Could you email your user name to me at SUPPORT@BACKLINKBOOSTER.COM? That will enable me to find your ticket in our system, which will give me access to your data so I can trouble-shoot your issue ASAP.
Best Regards,
Tom
When you say that we can import our links; what does that mean exactly?
What I like about the pingback optimizer sales pitch (another backlink indexing tool I’m considering) is that it automatically works on any pinged wordpress post. But of course the problem there is that not all of my pages I link to our wordpress pages… in fact my biggest money making ones are not.
I guess the point I’m trying to get to is; how can I collect the links linking to my site most easily? Is there some other software recommended for this purpose?
Hi MMJ,
We are currently updating our LinkFinder tool to use Majestic SEO data to capture known links to your sites. The new version of the tool will pull all your links and import them into your Backlink Booster account so they will automatically be boosted. Once ready, this tool will be available for free to all Backlink Booster Pro Edition subscribers.
However, this tool is still about a month away from us adding it to Backlink Booster (we still need to do more testing in order to fully integrate it into BB), and we are doing beta testing on a case-by-case basis to help with this process. If you (or any other Backlink Booster subscriber) are interested in being a beta-tester for the new version of LinkFinder, please let us know at support@backlinkbooster.com.
I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Best Regards,
Tom
I subscribed to this service 10 days back after reading all the comments above. I did setup 30+ sites one by one and imported 40K+ links to the system. I also paid $15 for the rss/ web 2.0 site setup service and configured everything correctly in the system.
BUT, till date I am not able to boost the links properly. The links are only getting boosted at the RSS sites but not at web 2.0 sites via Ping.fm. Not a single link is boosted on web 2.0 there yet. I contacted the support 2 times but they have no solution either, though they say my settings are correct.
Here is the response I receive from Jeanne:
“We are aware of intermittent issues Ping.fm is experiencing on their side. Because of these issues we are working to partner with another company who will be able to provide us the reliable service while we are working to develop an in house solution. I will let Tom know so he can double check to make certain there is not anything else on our side. Everything appears to be set up correctly. I will ask Tom to review when he checks the Ping.fm issue.”
I paid for the subscription, paid for the setup service, spent so much time in setting up all the sites and links but still did not got what I paid for. Tom, can you please look into the issue? My username- webguru.
Thanks!!
Hi Webguru,
I apologize for the delay in getting this issue resolved for you, and I would be happy to check into this issue right away. Also, I would be happy to refund the portion of your subscription for when your account isn’t boosting properly…it’s only fair.
To specifically address the issue, Ping.FM has been temperamental recently and we are working with Seesmic (who owns Ping.FM) to figure out what is causing the issues on their end. I am communicating with them daily and this is a high priority for them to resolve.
Having said that, we are working as fast as possible to finish developing our in-house solution so we won’t have to use Ping.FM anymore to post to your Web2.0 accounts. Rather, we will be able to post directly to your Web2.0 accounts, which will do two very important things:
1. It will enable us to ensure links are boosted correctly across your Web2.0 accounts without relying on Ping.FM to do it.
2. It will remove the 3,600 link per day boosting limit so you will be able to boost more links per day.
We are working around the clock to get this solution programmed, and in the meantime I will continue to work with Ping.FM on getting this issue fixed ASAP. I’ll be sure to respond to your Help Desk ticket with more details.
Best Regards,
Tom
