Combination services case study #2

in Case studies

This combination services case study is going to focus on medium level competition keywords like product/program/service names, which are inherently buying terms and/or phrases.

As you know from reading this site, I review a lot of different services, and some are recommended, and some are not.  In business, you always want to focus on getting traffic to the terms for services that you DO recommend, but when you run a review site like mine, it also helps to build readership trust when you get traffic for terms associated with products you don’t recommend.

Enough pontificating here though, this isn’t a post about how to run a review site.

Services being used:

UPDATE: Link Racer run ended, no results from using it, not a recommended service, this combo service case study is ended, using other services and methods to get the aforementioned urls, ranked, and moving on

Link Racer and My Link Club, yes Link Racer’s still around and we’re still going to test it.

Link Racer- we got some articles being submitted to the network to build links to the list of urls below

My Link Club – to do the same, just in a much different way

URLS, kws, and rankings (pre-case study)

Below you’ll see some blank bullet points left there for updates, and when there’s rankings changes for all URLS, which are to be expected, then those blank bullet points will be filled in with the time elapsed, and current rankings.

Some points to consider about this test:

It’s harder to get move up rankings positions on Page 1 than it is to get to page 1 in the first place so this case study is a bit of a brute force seo campaign to blast way to higher rankings

Some competing sites are exact keyword match domain names, and some are like mini-sites, review sites dedicated to promoting a single product, therefore they have well-optimized content, ie. keywords in their images, multiple keywords selection, LSI keywords etc…

My Link Club does blasting, too, and will get me 3000 links to a single url until I edit the campaign, so even though I don’t like this style with a link building service, I do have the option of “changing horses mid-stream” ie, editing the campaign to focus on other urls, but My Link Club doesn’t allow for multiple urls to get backlinks at once.  The advantage to this, I guess… is that you might need 3000 links to rank a single url higher, who knows, but when the rankings are achieved, then you can switch gears and focus over to other urls.

Again, the advantage here could be that none of us know exactly how many backlinks it will take to rank for a certain term, so My Link Club has the advantage of letting a campaign continue until one url is ranking where we want it to be ranked.

If it takes 3000 links then hey, that’s the reality of the competition and the effectiveness of their network.

If it takes 200 links to rank better for url 1, then you can work a punch-list of urls using My Link Club and run one campaign until results are achieved, then move on to the next url in your list.

About Link Blasting: I am not a fan of link blasting, at all… and it’s one of the main reasons why I haven’t done much testing with SE nuke, which does a great job for what it’s designed to do, quickly propagate content and web entities for link wheels and backlinking purposes, but in most cases, these inbound links are seen as too many links too quickly, which isn’t a bad thing, by the way, just as long as link velocity is maintained.

With link blasting there IS NO link velocity maintained, and it’s why Xrumer Blasts tend to not be that effective (as one time blasts).  Over time some of these rapidly generated links will get indeed again and provide some value, but link building should be thought of and practiced with the following terms in mind:

  • Velocity
  • Maintenance
  • Campaigns

So, even though My Link Club is a link blasting type of scenario/service, I do think using a service like Link Racer that will syndicate my links throughout their network over a drip-fed schedule in conjunction with My Link Club will produce some sort of natural inbound link velocity, for when My Link Club ends its blasting cycle (3000 links for the month are used up or campaign edited to divert attention to other urls)

UPDATE: Link Racer run ended, no results from using it, not a recommended service, this combo service case study is ended, using other services and methods to get the aforementioned urls, ranked, and moving on

Hi Daniel

I am not sure if you have answered this b4 but could not find it.

I am trying to test Linkvana + Linx Boss together perhaps but am concerned of overcooking with my other methods.

My sites:

2 x older 5 year old sites authority – need a push from #9 up to #3 or #1, heavy competition

6 x 2-4 month old sites ranking bottom page 1 to page 5

These are medium competition niche product sites

I am planning on using UAW 50 day submit + Linkvana 3-5 day + Linx Boss – My outsourcer has been doing profiles 25 per day (interchanges with wheels soon) and thats worked + another outsourcer adds content to our sites and does the UAW writing plus some ezine etc

I am wondering if I need to choose Linkvana or Linx Boss or if I can use both with UAW + Profiles/Wheels

Is that too much in your opinion? I am thinking of testing them on separate sites but perhaps even on 1 site trying both with UAW and the rest……Then once at #1 continue for a while and then use Linkvana + UAW for maintenance and move on.

Could I get your feedback please Daniel as to whether that might be in your opinion overdoing it? I am mindful too that I want to vary my link strategies. Thanks alot!

Regards

Manny

Get rid of Linkvana, use Linx Boss, and hammer, hammer, hammer those aged domains with profiles links using hands free Aloha, xrumer services, sick profile maker plus some links packets. Linkvana is coming off my top 4 recommended list soon btw, just not a good value but am giving it one last test to see HOW it could be of any better value than other services, and I’m sure for $147.00/month there’s plenty of methods that would do more

Hi

just curious when you say “et rid of Linkvana, use Linx Boss, and hammer, hammer, hammer those aged domains with profiles links using hands free Aloha, xrumer services, sick profile maker plus some links packets.”

in the profile link case study you appear to be saying that profile links doesnt work??

Hi Mark, I went back and updated the xrumer blasting service post, and the profiles linking case study to reflect that, indeed, these kinds of links do work, and well…
