Content Buzz – what does ContentBuzz do?
I’ve heard repeated rumblings about ContentBuzz and decided to do a Content Buzz review by having a buddy of mine use it and test it out.
What does Content Buzz do?
This is for people who want to utilize podcasts, videos web 2.0 profiles, and social bookmarking. It’s a service/desktop application that semi-automates your account creations at podcast, video sharing web 2.0 and social bookmarking sites. I say it’s semi-automated because you have to type in your captchas still, no big deal there but slows down the “getting started” process a bit.
ContentBuzz is almost a rival of SE Nuke and better than Traffic Geyser because of its automated account creations and submissions processes, but when you go hybrid with something you usually only do a portion of what the other services do whilst doing more overall.
CB versus Traffic Geyser
Traffic Geyser sends your videos to 50 or so video sharing sites, and does podcasts, too
Content Buzz does the same thing, but you’re not uploading your video to CB’s site, you’re submitting your videos and podcasts from the desktop application.
CB versus SE Nuke:
SE Nuke - does content creation + submission, account creations with auto captcha solving. SE Nuke also has ability to pull in articles from the web via url you provide and spins them with a click of a button.
Content Buzz – does semi automated account creations and content submissions. Content Buzz doesn’t have any one-click spinning capabilties.
Cost comparisons:
- Traffic Geyser costs 97/month
- SE Nuke costs 147/month
- Content buzz costs 29/month
My opinion on Content Buzz?
Now that all the vanilla fluff details about CB are out of the way, what’s Content Buzz good for and who needs it and who should use it?
If you do any video marketing or podcasting then this is a worthwhile service to get.
The social bookmarking aspect is great for what it’s worth but social bookmarking links will only do so much for you, really. SB links are mostly NoFollow nowadays but they can be effective if you’re getting enough of them, so really, social bookmarking for effective link building is largely dependent on getting a lot of links, which means creating a lot of profiles.
How we’re testing Content Buzz for this review:
We’ve built some Google Sniper sites as part of my comprehensive Google Sniper Review series so we’ll be using Content Buzz to generate traffic and backlinks to 7 or 8 of those sites. The 7-8 sites are for easy, medium, and high competition keywords, and niches.
UPDATE!!!
I always send program owners an email letting them know I am reviewing their service, in case there are some extra elements or features to their services that weren’t obvious, and to make sure my reviews are accurate. As mentioned earlier in this review I am working with someone to review and use this Content Buzz service.
Anyways I sent the email to the Content Buzz folks telling them I’m reviewing their service and here’s Shaun’s reply:
Hi Daniel
Thanks for your email. It was very interesting to read your review of Content Buzz. I appreciate your comments but I don’t think you quite revealed everything that Content Buzz can do.
It is difficult to compare Content Buzz with Traffic Geyser as, quoting from their sales page, they “Submit your messages to 50 video sites and social bookmarking sites…”. That is not 50 ‘video’ sites, that’s the total of both. It also includes several ‘how-to’ sites that don’t particularly like marketing messages and will delete them.
SENuke seems to revolve around spinning articles. We take the view that unless you are promoting quality content then it isn’t worth the time and effort involved. Does a spun article actually create a good impression with a prospective customer?
Content Buzz enables account creation and submission to 140 Social Media platforms. This includes 50 general video sites that are marketer friendly. We have a separate mode for info marketers that submits to even more specific ‘how-to’ sites. Add to this 40 social bookmarking sites, image hosting sites, feeder blog sites, podcast directories, micro-blogging services, ping services and RSS aggregators. Not to mention other software that includes an easy way to find relevant blogs and forums etc where you can drop your backlinks, and a unique link builder that you can get an outsourcer to get you another 500 or so links from other social platforms. We feel that Content Buzz enables an imaginative marketer to create really comprehensive, and unique marketing campaigns.
We also try to provide marketers with ‘affordable’ solutions, and feel that at under $30 p.m. Content Buzz is good value for money considering the overhead in supporting and constantly testing so many platforms.
We do have several new and exciting products coming out in the near future that you and your readers are sure to be interested in. If you don’t mind I will send you a link for you to give them a test drive prior to release as I would appreciate any comments you may have.
Cheers for now
Shaun

I have to agree with the Content Buzz owner, that for the imaginative marketer you can do a lot of “awesome” stuff with Content Buzz, even though there is somewhat more setup and a few teething problems to get through with account setup early on.
Once you’re up and running, Content Buzz is I think the best value for money out of all of them.
If you want to spin articles, I would recommend using a “Dedicated” article marketing platform, the best in my opinion being “Submit Your Article”, when you mix video marketing and article marketing together with amazing information you have a “Very” powerful marketing strategy.
If you go a step further and use Site Build It and post your videos on the pages you create with it, around keyword focussed articles offering value and “PRE-Selling” your visitors, you have an unbeatable solution.
I feel that the best 3 tools you can use are:
1. Content Buzz
2. Submit Your Article
3. SiteBuildIt
Just the above three on their own will see you on the track for great long term traffic and eventual success online.
Hope this helps.
Warm Regards,
Adam
I am in the process of extensive testing with Content Buzz and will publish my results and experiences on my blog soon… I agree with Adam’s comment above but would suggest a self hosted Wordpress blog as an alternative to SiteBuildit. I used SBI a long time ago and much prefer the wordpress dashboard and structuring capabilities.
I have had many communications with Shaun, owner of Content Buzz and he has been extremely helpful and has given me attention uncommon in today’s market place.
Thanks for the review
Roger´s last blog ..Don’t get Facebook Disabled
Thanks roger, Shaun’s very helpful and what he said about Traffic Geyser as compared to Content Buzz astounded me.
CB is good if you do a lot of video marketing, but as you may have noticed, videos don’t rank as well as they used to (caffeine alog)
Great Review and I’m surprised I’ve never heard of CB. The price point is awesome.
I suspect that even if google doesn’t rank video’s as high in the SERP’s, that the traffic you get directly from the video sites (especially the big ones) is still worth the time to regularly post video content as a traffic generation tool. I see it as simply another source of traffic that isn’t dependent on Google. I like the idea of having multiple traffic sources and not put all my eggs in one basket….. never know how the next algorithm tweak will affect your organic SERP’s.
Again, thanks for the article…..

Hi Ken, I am in complete agreement with you. The less dependent on algos and SERPs we are the more stable the traffic flow, and business. It’s kind of a catch-22 though because the more things you do to become less dependent on SERPs, those only strengthen your site’s rankings…
Thanks to you Daniel, and everyone else for the info…I’m somewhat of a technophobe so always feel a little lost on these things. Very easy to understand and appreciate the breakdown of several different products at once…

Thanks for that review. I’m coming along contentbuzz some weeks ago and just putting some articles and videos together to make a real test what it can do.
Besides the thought getting traffic not only from the SERPS, there is another point of view that I’m faszinated at the moment: Looking currently at alexa you’ll recognice how much traffic the socials have vs. yahoo und google. Putting those together contentbuzz posts to, both big SE’s are beaten. And just thinking further: where is it easier to get found, at google, digg or youtube?
Just my 2 cents

I think people are slowly starting to realize just how good a deal Content Buzz is versus Traffic Geyser, so hopefully the service is effective for you.
Thanks for stopping by,
Dan
I’m curious to know if you have any results to share with your test of content buzz with your Google Sniper sites. Has it helped getting them ranked? Traffic increase?
I think an interesting experiment would be a side by side marketing test of all the big softwares out there-SENuke, Web2mayhem,Linkdozer,Content Buzz and Traffic Magnet on a new site. Say all with a fairly competitive keyword using an identical CMS-wordpress no doubt. Anybody tried this?
Oh yea-I forgot to mention EVO2 by Peter Drew. He makes some pretty bold claims.
I joined content Buzz then canceled it by accident so I don’t have any real success stories to tell here, but form a features point of view it definitely surpasses what Traffic Geyser does, and some other social marketing-related programs, too.
I like your idea for side by side program testing, but it’s virtually impossible to determine which link by what program or service had XXX effect on one site only being tested….
ContentBuzz is program whose main strength is social media marketing and video marketing, too, which allows for more site exposure but it’s not something that will increase your rankings, really. Video is good for direct traffic, social bookmarking is best for getting stuff indexed and manual target audience interaction, like doing manual, not bot-generated…. tweeting and bookmarking and such…
Frank you might want to read how i test link building services to arrive at my conclusions and recommendations
Thanks for the question,
Dan
I’m twice bitten thrice shy on his products, is all I’m going to say about EVOII.
You might want to read this thread here about SE Nuke versus EVO II
You said: “I like your idea for side by side program testing, but it’s virtually impossible to determine which link by what program or service had XXX effect on one site only being tested….”
I agree if it was only one site but I meant take 5 keywords of roughly equal competiveness, strength of competition etc, and launch say 5 Google Sniper sites each based around one of the keywords you selected. Then fire up each software but only use one of the tools as the only method of promotion and link building for the site. Eg. site A uses Content Buzz, site B uses SENuke etc.
Maybe you already have a good idea who would come out on top?
Hi Frank, that admittedly makes more sense, maybe I mis-read your suggestion.
A deciding factor would be the allintitle competition and the link profiles of the pre-existing top-ranking sites for these terms. You’d have to find similar competition levels with competing sites with similar levels of quality links (link profiles) to set some sort of fair and balanced comparison base.
