How to get blog posts indexed + linked to in 3 minutes

in SEO Tips and Articles

I just noticed that one of my newest blogs is getting the most recent posts indexed in 3 minutes.

That’s pretty cool, huh!  Not really sure what overall long-term value there is to getting indexed so quickly since all it means is that something that I did is causing the spiders to hit that blog super-fast to index it super-fast….

Here’s how it’s done and the tools needed:

  • Ping list
  • Twitter + Twitterfeed
  • Feedwordpress plugin.

#1 Ping list

There are 2-3 blogs involved in this scenario and all of them have just pingomatic in for the ping list

#2 Twitter stuff

I have a Twitter account set up for a special program I’m promoting called Mandura (easy money for linkvanareviews’ readers since this industry doesn’t know jack about SEO)..

That Twitter account is set up in Twitterfeed.com which basically posts your latest blog posts to a specified Twitter account for you, and that account does the auto-post and auto-link-back to your latest and greatest blog post.

I just started doing Twitter stuff because of this new network marketing program I’m ga-ga about and that requires more interpersonal communications so I finally succumbed to Twitter-ing.

FYI, IMO it’s better to use 3d party services like Twitterfeed.com to do your auto twittering and autotwitter linking for you because it keeps your site nice and free of distractions like all those social bookmarking icons seen on most sites.

#3 Feedwordpress plugin

This is the part I think is really most responsible for the 3-minute indexing times.

Feedwordpress is a plugin that can pull full content posts into your blog from other blog Rss feeds.

In the wrong hands, you could scrape someone’s entire site as your own just by pulling their feed and re-posting it on another site that you own, IF they had their blog configured to have it’s site feed setting to Display Full.

Display RSS setting

Display RSS setting

Otherwise, normal feed settings will just display excerpts with links to read more pointing back to original source.  So if someone starts pulling and posting your content, you’ll be getting the first paragraph or so scraped, then linked back to at the end of the posted excerpt.

If this happens then you’re getting free links from 3d party sites….

Anyways, the way I have this set up is

I have 2 sites pulling partial feeds posting excerpts and links back to the main Mandura site.  So when I made a blog post on that site, there are 2 sites automatically pulling-and-posting blog excerpts and linking back to the original source.

Then I have the RSS feed for the main Mandura site getting it’s RSS feed pulled by Twitterfeed.com

  • which posts a snippet to the Twitter account associated with that domain name and feed

  • which then links back to the post

  • which apparently leads to 3 minute indexing times…

This blog you’re on now usually gets new posts indexed in 12 minutes or so, so 3 minutes is pretty amazing to me…!

Again, I’m not sure what the long-term SEO value of this is, but I thought I’d share how to do it nonetheless.

Twitterfeed.com – simple and straightforward and free

Feedwordpress – some stuff about this plug-in might confuse you and support is given via owner’s blog, so come back to this blog your on right now if you have any questions.

NOTE: Please use responsibly huh?

Don’t scrape/steal other people’s content with this tool.  Instead use it as a re-purposing your content tool like I do.. plus it’s also a good tool to add new content to a site.

I tried this on some of my other sites and it works like a charm!

Hi,

I like your link building reviews and would be especially interested in a review for a new linkbuilding service called http://linkfarmevolution.com/

They use pligg, blogspot, wordpress to build links to your site. I’ve personally used pligg to get links before and its been very effective, would love a tool like this in my arsenel and I think it could really deliver. Its from the same guys who made YACG and costs a one time payment of $297

Would love your opinion :)

Hi, I get a lot of requests like this but I’m only one person and I take the testing and reviewing seriously. Best thing I can offer you (or them) is to use it for a few weeks on trial basis. If you’re in good or close to those people who have that service let them know I’ll try to find time to review their service.

Thanks,

Dan

OK, thanks “Anon”, I’ll try to check it out but 2 things bother me about this sales page already.

Naming a linking product with the terms linkfarm in there seems foolish since link farms have a bad rep and bad things associated with them.

Plus they’re swearing on the sales page which is also always a mistake, so that tells me they didn’t have $$$ for a good copywriter and/or are unprofessional in their marketing.

But all that aside, the only thing that really matters is if it works, how well it works.

Thanks,

Dan

P.S. With Linkvana, BLS and UAW going I get more than enough links

I would have to agree on the name being a little offputting for some, I think its being marketed to blackhatters in general.

The only reason I think this will work is because I’ve used a tool called “autopligg” in the past which worked extremely well for me. Trouble is autopligg has lost its lustor because pligg sites began implementing recaptcha which autopligg could not crack. Linkfarmevolution can “crack” recaptcha, so I’m hoping this would be a good replacement.
