means those visitors come back through YOUTUBE links to my site are beneficial and type of my customers

Correct, point here was merely to emphasize that these vids usually attain some PR to them and that gets passed down, so linking reciprocally by embedding videos isn’t just another OBL, it’s beneficial to your site from an SEO standpoint
Not sure if that’s an actual backlink from youtube. Since the website is a PR9 it probably has its own backlink filters on. Good observation though.. Only way to get a real backlink is to advertise and pay for it.

Nathan, that’s correct, because the only way someone will find out your url is if they searched for sites that linked to/hosted/embedded that youtube video on site..
Point being… you want to post and embed relevant related Youtube videos on your site for visitor’s sake, and the SEO benefit is you get a backlink out of it, so… while some people think that when they link out to other sites, or host others’ videos form Youtube they’re sending traffic away from their marketing message, but we can’t be too selfish here…
Post a video your visitors might want to watch, it adds a multimedia aspect to your site free of charge, and you get a backlink out o fit.
Or better yet, just upload your own videos to youtube and embed them on your sites pages. If your site gets good traffic, and videos are set to auto play once visitors land on a page on your site with the vid embedded, then the video views/plays goes up every time, and that helps to rank the video itself in the search engines.
Example: If I made a video explaining this and put it on youtube, and displayed it only on this post you’re commenting on now, then
1- video would get one more view each time this page load s(if set to autoplay)
2- I get a link form Youtube since I hosted the video
Nice Article. But I am really confused by reading comments from some members that it has nofollow attribute. I think If you hosted video on youtube then only you can get backlinks.
Hi thanks for the comment, this post was written a long time ago, not sure if you can still get a link this way, however…if you can you need to consider this. Youtube is an authority site, their vids get high PR lots of times and getting even a NoFollow backlink with PR from a trusted site does possess some value to the linked to site (the site hosted the video).
