This is the first part of the Link Dozer review series. Part 2 has more details and will have results from using Link Dozer displayed on this Link Dozer post (Pt. 2) .
I first heard about Link Dozer from some readers of this blog and also some some “chatter” about it on some marketing forums. I had some qualms about reviewing this service because they (she) keeps a tight grip on what can be publicly revealed about this link building service/software.
After doing some research, I realized that while I couldn’t show you screenshots of the “inside of Link Dozer, I could reveal how well/poorly the service performed for me, so I’ve decided to go ahead with a review. However, you won’t see many screenshots or anything like that here, just some background information on what Link Dozer really IS, what it DOES, and how it performed.
What is Link Dozer?
It’s a service and a community run by Kristina Saric, an SEO “goddess/guru-ette” with 10 years experience in the SEO world. Initial first impressions make this service look just like any other blog network, Web 2.0 account creator, content-spinner program.
- You can create Web 2.0 accounts
- You can create WPMUs
- Unlimited subdomains and blogs to post content to
- You can create, and spin content
- You can submit content to various places
However, if you watch all the videos on the site here, you’ll see that Christina and Link Dozer are doing things differently.
Link Dozer philosophy:
Link Dozer has the philosophy that you want to create top quality content, and lots of it.
Link Dozer also recommends that you do NOT want to totally automated your content submissions, but instead have full control of your content, submissions and linking mechanisms.
Christina and Link Dozer also espouse doing link wheels in a random manner to avoid easily detected footprints.
NOTE: There’s also a lot of chatter going on right now about link wheels being easily detected and getting Google-slapped, but I’ve yet to experience this type of penalty because I’ve always done things in a random manner, partially due to being somewhat disorganized in my linking patterns and partially due to not wanting everything connected. I still do some direct linking from Web 2.0 sites to money pages, but I do that for sites that deliver useful DoFollow PageRanked inbound links.
Who would ever have thought that being disorganized and not bothering to link everything together would pay dividends eh?
What’s different about Link Dozer?
Their method for content spinning is allegedly far superior to anything that’s been done thus far.
They don’t try to fully automate everything you do, something I know is unavoidable if you want best results, but automation does help for a lot of mundane tasks.
For example, if you use SE Nuke to create Web 2.0 properties then you know that no matter how much the software can do for you, you still have to manually edit and sometimes even manually create Squidoo Lenses and Hub Pages.
Does Link Dozer work well?
Here’s an email I got from a blog reader regarding Link Dozer:
I have used LD on a couple small projects as of late and appear to be getting very good results. It has moved a couple sites onto page 1 and steadily moving up the ladder. I’m very interested in seeing you put it to the test in more depth and detail.
Personally, I like LD more than senuke. When it comes to functionality, senuke is much simpler and more straight forward out of the box. I took a good week to familiarize myself with LD before actually using it. I watched the video instructions a couple times over. For me there was a bit of a learning curve as I was so used to senuke’s interface and program. LD is much more “busy” in the interface.
I will say though that once I jumped into using the program, everything started to click and what looked more involved actually turned out to be quite smooth and straight forward.
The owner/creator, Kristina, has deliberately designed it to not be fully automated. I’ve found the semi-automated features to be better actually giving me much more control over my content and publishing.
The functionality of LD compared to senuke is a bit more work but not by much when it really boils down to it. The program works and runs very smoothly carrying out it’s purpose. Account creation is very easy and quick. I would venture to say that most long time users of senuke would probably not like LD because there is a bit more work involved.
You really need to take a look at it as it’ll become more clear when you start using it.
First impressions of Link Dozer:
Definitely 10X better than using Link Farm Evolution for a number of reasons
Better than all-in-one programs like SE Nuke, Web2Mayhem, Evo II for a number of reasons
Recommended?
Not yet….testing, looks OK though
