I’m not sure why people aren’t doing more of this but “promoting the promoters” is what quality SEO and link building is really all about…
What are promoters?
Any piece of virtual real estate that backlinks to your sites and the urls on your sites..
Examples:
- Squidoo Lenses that are pulling your sites RSS feeds (backlinking to your most recent posts)
- HubPages- same as above
- EzineArticles.com articles- This is where I see the most benefit when promoting the promoters. Get backlinks to your published articles and they’ll attain and maintain top rankings since they’re residing on an authority site.
- Any Web 2.0-style properties that you can use to backlink to your sites
How to promote the promoters?
- Link to them using anchor text using any of these recommended linkbuilding services.
- Republish your “EZAs” on your sites, and if you have a lot of sites of your own re-publishing your EZAs, or other sites re-publish them, then your EZAs will get put into a category on EZA called “Most Published Articles in XYZ category”… and will stay there for a while
Why promote the promoters?
The EZAs you write will easily attain high rankings due to the nature of the site they’re published on, and if they don’t rank well on their own, then throwing a few links at those article URLs will help you in a big way.
At some point your articles will attain decent PageRank on the article urls, giving you (eventually) a PageRank 1,2, or 3 backlink which is always a good thing. Some of my EZAs have a PageRank 3 and you’ll never get this type of quality backlink from sites linking to use with spun content on those article marketing/syndication services.
You’re also creating a 3-way-link exchange because you’re linking to urls that are linking to you, creating a mini-link-exchange network.
As part of the I coaching I give to my members at Marketer’s Relief, I tell them to use this method to obtain backlinks for at least 4 site urls/site. With EZA, you can link back to a url in the body of the article and in your resource box, so two (2) EZAs should get you backlinks to 4 different urls.
Therefore, I always recommend that you use this method to only write 2 articles that focus on your sites’ 4 main keywords… seeing as how the backlinks become less effective once you tap the same IP addresses repeatedly for a few links.
The reason you want to use this method sparingly is because you really don’t want to spend a lot of time writing articles for them, their approval process for new articles and new members can sometimes be very daunting, and you don’t want to spend a lot of time and effort building backlinks to their site, really.
Just do it for the most effective means possible, to have your EZAs develop into PageRank-ed urls linking to your sites for your main keywords.
After all, your main keywords are probably going to be the hardest ones to rank well for, so you might as well use this method to develop PageRank-ed urls/articles that link to your site for your hardest terms.
As for the rest of your keywords on your list that you want to your site content to rank well for, well those should be a bit easier to rank well for by using services such as Backlink solutions, Unique Article Wizard, or even My Article Network.
I strongly recommend that you employ this method for all your new sites, but it is important that you limit yourself to writing 2 EZAS that focus on your 4 main keywords, then use some sort of service to “work” the longer-tail or less competitive terms.
I almost didn’t want to write this and make this public knowledge because my competitors can use this, too, but if I rite it all out here and explain it fully, I can direct my Marketer’s Relief members to this post to help explain the concept better, which will allow me to give more coaching time to those who need other things explained.
That a model of efficiency there… be as effective as you can and always think of how you can achieve more by doing less.
Applying this method will help you in the short run and in the long term and the promoters gain in PageRank, and promoters like EZA articles tend to maintain their rankings for a very long time, once achieved, and it take sless effort to ge them highly ranked than post on your new or old sites.
