LinkVana Alternative – a 2-fer solution for people unhappy with LinkVana

I got approached again today from someone who is not getting the expected/promised results with LinkVana.

Since they didn’t sign up via my aff link they didn’t get my SEO site review nor did they get the bonus of a month’s worth of snippets written for them (1 site only).  Therefore I wasn’t going to take a look at their sites, their keywords, and their “money” pages.

The best solution I could suggest to them is what I call the Linkvana Alternative:

As you may know, Linkvana is $147.00/month and the main reason only 4% of the sign-ups stay on board is because the ROI hasn’t been there for them.

That’s why a site appraisal is necessary, so you target the right keywords and make money your first month using their service.

The LinkVana alternative I’ve come up with is to use 2 services instead of just the one LinkVana.

The first service that I recommend you take on board is Backlink Solutions because it does what LinkVana does and MORE but costs less.

If you contact me via Skype ID aikidoroll, I will show you how to get a discount on Backlink Solutions’ higher-priced membership which the sales page says is sold out (it’s not, really)

How does Backlink Solutions do more than LinkVana does, but for less?

Well, the higher-priced membership at Backlink Solutions has the ability to promote the promoters, meaning that the sites on their network that are linking to you are getting auto-social bookmarking links to the snippets posted on their site which are, in turn linking back to your site.

In short, you get social bookmarking links and the regular blog backlinks with Backlink Solutions.  If you’re somewhat knowledgeable about SEO, then you know you need a variety of backlinks, not just blog links, but social bookmarking links and other types, too.

The second part of the Linkvana alternative is to once again get a low-cost service that provides you with a different style of backlink.

With Backlink Solutions and LinkVana what you’re really getting is snippets posted that act as backlinks pointing to your site.

What you need to do round this off a bit is to get some full-content articles syndicated by using an article marketing/syndication service.

The 2 article marketing/syndication services that I’m testing now are My Article Network and Unique Article Wizard.

As or right now, I’m in my second month of testing with My Article Network and only 2 weeks into my testing of the Unique Article Wizard service.

If I had to recommend one over the other, I’d go with My Article Network because with “MAN” you have the ability to limit the syndication of your articles, as this seems to be an important part of effective article syndication.

If your articles get TOO syndicated then the search engines start de-valuing some of those links due to too much dupe, or similar content.

Also, the beauty of this Linkvana alternative is that you’ll be tapping into the 300+ sites in the Backlink Solutions network, plus the 20,000 sites in My Article Network.

If you compare the 20,300+ sites that Backlink Solutions and My Article Network have made available to you, then compare it to the 400 or so sites in the Linkvana network, you can see why it makes sense to tap into and leverage more services in order to get links from more IP addresses.

If you’re thinking that it will take you too long to write blurb, snippets, and articles to use these services properly, here’s something you should know:

With Backlink Solutions there’s a spinner that is real easy to use and there’s ways to create unique snippets without having to write a lot (doesn’t involve PLR, by the way).

With My Article Network, they have a fantastic spinner tool and back end system that is very user-friendly, much like LinkVana’s user-friendly back end system.

I still recommend LinkVana as a link building service, but here’s a way you can save a little bit of money and get 2 good services for the same price as LinkVana.

  2. Can anyone tell me how fast I can expect to see results if I use backlinksolutions.com? If I am on page two and I want to jump to the top three of page one, how long would that take and how difficult would it be?

What is the difference between myarticlenetwork.com and articlemarketingautomation.com? I did not get that many sites to accept my article when I used articlemarketingautomation.com. Can the same be said about myarticlenetwork.com?

  4. Can anyone tell me if I can submit an unaltered PLR article to myarticlenetwork.com?

Will backlinksolutions.com accept an unaltered PLR article?

There were several mentions of submitting blurbs to backlinksolutions.com. Can anyone tell me what a blurb is? How many words long is a blurb?

  6. Hi John, jumping from page 2 to 1 is sometimes a matter of getting just a few links, or you’ll need a whole lotta them because your rankings have plateaued, ran into your REAL SEO competition and now you have to fight your way to the top.

I tested My Article Network for the term “blog writing tips” which I didn’t think was too competitive, and not really important to my business model. I started getting links to it 2 weeks after it reached it’s settling point at the bottom of page2 to see if “MAN” would get that url to page 1. After about 30 backlinks to that one url, it’s risen to the top of page 2, so it did work, but I am not “WOW’ed” by the increase… then again on page one for that term is problogger.net so maybe there is some stiff SEO competition, who knows.

Once it reaches page 1, I will see how competitive that term was and what it took for My Article Network to get it there (how many backlinks…).

MAN is a clone of AMA and they reputedly have combined their networks for faster and more widespread syndication.

MAN’s OK and I’m recommending it, but I think Unique Article Wizard might be better. It takes me a while to do the testing via submissions and to split test the effects of the services.

Thing is, it’s kinda irritating to me in a way to do all this testing when I could just use Backlink Solutions to get my post urls where I want them to be ranked…

I wish I could definitively tell you that BLS will take you form page 2 to page 1 in 3 weeks, but without knowing the terms, how many backlinks your site and url currently has, and what your on-page SEO is like, and what your competitors are doing or have done, there’s no real way for me to give you an answer on that.

I recommend My Article Network because it works, but if Unique Article Wizard proves out better, then I’ll recommend that service as the article syndication service to use.

    Regarding blurbs, snippets, and spins…

It helps me seperate the services I use by associating certain terms with each one.

For LinkVana, you need to write 100-word mini-articles, or blurbs, to submit to their network. For each backlink you want generated you have to write 1 100-word “blurb” and submit it to get 1 backlink.

BackLink Solutions requires 60-word snippets to be written so they can have some unique info from you to submit to the network of blogs. However, these snippets can be spun and can include 3 different urls, the titles can be spun, as well as the content. I think that’s pretty awesome since the content required for a snippet is so minimal (60 words) you can devote a little more time to spinning these snippets so they’re more effective.

Any articles I write that get spun and submitted to My Article Network are called “MANs” by me, and the same thing goes for Unique Article Wizard (article submitted and spun are called UAWs)

Please respond with any further questions you might have.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  8. John, MAN might accept it, I’m not sure if their dupe filters will detect it but some webmasters are “dupe-checking” the auto-added content on their sites manually and only accepting unique content, or semi-unique content…

Dupe/PLR content won’t get through BackLink Solution’s filter though.

Both of these services provide spinners for a reason, so your backlinks are more effective when deemed as semi-unique, so it’s not like you can buy 50 PLR articles and submit them to UAW,BLS, Linkvana, My Article Network etc…. and expect the results to be good.

    It’s all about the links…

Put the PLR on your site, and write/rewrite articles for the syndication services, if anything.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  10. Dan, Have you ever done any research on http://www.thelinkjuicer.com/?

  12. Hey Mark, I’m not sure I see the value in paying $47.00/month for a “social bookmarking exchange”, but its something I’d consider doing as a test.

Right now, I’m bogged down with testing TrackBack spider, Linkfarm Evolution and YACG, so it might be a while before I get to it

  14. Hi Dan,

Thanks for maintaining such a great blog. I’ve found your advice to be invaluable.

I see it’s been a while since you last commented on this post. Is the Backlink Solutions/UAW combo still viable?

I definitely plan to sign up for Backlink Solutions this week. But I’m on the fence about UAW. Right now I’m using UAW under a special trial offer. So, I’m not able to report any results yet. I’m also using another service called Synnd (have you heard of it – http://www.socialmediascience.com/). I’m using it under a 14-day trial as well.

Both Synnd and UAW carry the same $67/month price tag. I have my reasons for wanting to keep both as well as reasons for wanting to get rid of one or the other while using it along with Backlink Solutions.

For instance, I like that Synnd uses a software to automate the bookmarking and syndication of content for every campaign you enter into the system. On the other hand, I find the long-standing reputation of UAW attractive but am a bit concerned about the footprint left by spun content.

In my mind, I’m thinking if Synnd produces the same results as UAW, then I’ll keep it as it requires far less work than UAW. However, if the opposite is true, then I’ll stay with UAW and work it according to the strategy you’ve outlined above. It clearly requires more effort than Synnd, but if it produces better results in the end then it’s worth it for sure.

If you’ve had any experience with Synnd or at least an educated opinion, I was hoping you could shed some light on it as well.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  16. Hi Paul, the 2-fer is no longer available since the BLS discount was for a limited time, but the idea is to think of how best to mix and match different services. There’s no need for UAW and Syndd if they both do similar things, so stay with Syndd for now if it’s producing results for you.

I mentioned in this post here how to avoid the UAW footprint, hope it helps if you continue using UAW http://linkvanareviews.com/is-unique-article-wizard-still-effective

I will probably test Syndd sometime within the next few months, but as things stand right now I don’t have a use for it. Social media site promotion is best done on personal basis, and the value to social media-generated backlinks in the short-term isn’t the social bookmarking links but the direct traffic it generates.

  18. Thanks Dan,

I’ve decided to stay with UAW and dump Synnd. After finally wrapping my head around how UAW works, I see how I can get the most out of my UAW submissions with a little work. Your strategy now makes perfect sense to me.

Thanks for you help…I’ll be re-tweeting your UAW strategy.

    Paul
