Just doing a follow up here on the other post on Linx Boss.

This is just gonna be my way of tracking and proving things to you, follow along if you wish

kw url 1,mlmnetworkmarketingtraining.org

Day 1- Not Ranked for term mlm training

Day 3- #Page 35

Day 5- Page 21

Day 7-  Page 18

Day 9- Page 4-6

Page 3 now (at top)

Day 7- #72

Day 14 – Page 5 (started Link Aloha this same week so updates are getting skewed at this point)

Day 24 – #15

kw url 3, http://dreamteamsales.com

Have had this url in LB for a couple of months now, and currently it’s page 9 or 10 for term mlm training, not ranked for terms sales training or network marketing training yet.

Update:  (started Link Aloha this same week so updates are getting skewed at this point)

Page 2 for the following terms

  • network marketing training
  • mlm training
  • direct sales training

Page 7 for term network marketing

NOTE: All of these aforementioned urls are going to be getting additional links from Link Aloha which I just joined, so I’m publishing the Linx Boss diary/review here and now to show clearly what one service (LinxBoss) did for those sites, rankings-wise before other services were introduced into the mix

Hey man,

Just a follow-up here to say THANK YOU for introducing me to linxboss. I’ve already seen one of my urls get from page 3 to mid page 1 in a very competitive niche and industry, and gotten real, measurable traffic, leads and sales as a result.

Super simple to use, and as close to automatic link building as it gets.

Hi

just wanted to pop in and give my experience..I rented a spot off a buddy of mine to test the process, $25 a month for one site and I agreed to give it a go for 3 months.

So I laid down my $25 and put my site in (very easy to use interface) and moved on..
About 4 days later I saw the site appear on adsense..earned a dollar (yahh woopee)..then it carried on growing.
The site has been in linxboss for 2 weeks and has made $20.53 on adsense and $8.91 on amazon.

$29 is not going to excite people but think on this.
-it is a winter niche so I expect to double the traffic come October
-The links stay in place so the rankings should stay (all else being equal) even when I change sites.

I plan to leave the site in the linx boss system for a month then change it and see if the next one does as well. So if my $25 investment returns me $29 (and i expect it to be more) every month for the next year then I am a happy man.

I understand that $125 a month may be too much for some people to lay down, so why not team up with a mate and go halves.

The other thought I had was that this niche is non competitive one so it takes less links to move it, to optimize the ROI you could use 2 spots for harder phrases and then 3 for easy wins to get a quick increase in income.

Links are important but they work better when your keyword choice,on page seo and internal linking is good. It all needs to be right to really score.

Daniel put me onto ezarticle links and that has proved to be a winner and now this so all I can say is cheers!

Paul

Paul, thanks for popping by with this feedbqack. I wish more people were so realistic and astute with the services they use. First priority with link building should be an expected ROI and it seems you know exactly how to be realistic AND get ROI, even when just testing something, good job and thanks again, hopefully your feedback helps others get more ROI/be more realistic and choosy with their rankings terms attainment quests.

Daniel,

Any idea if the L4L feature gets updated regularly? I know they go out and get all the backlinks that you already have, but what about going forward? Do they search for those on a regular basis or is it a one time thing?

Thanks,

Matt

I really don’t know Matt, I’ve tried to talk to Tommy at LB about this but he seems really busy, and I don’t expect full blown explanation via email or support desk, but you cna try going that route (ask LB about L4L) since I really don’t know how it works, or IF it works!

Luke Lee September 1, 2010 at 1:53 pm

I asked Erik this question and he said “L4L updates periodically….”

Reply

Matthew K August 23, 2010 at 12:48 pm

I’ll try that. I signed up about 5 days ago and I still don’t have anything in the offset tab. Just got my L4L links showing today. I had emailed support and Erik said it would take 48 hours. I’m not complaining if it works as promised.

I might try to find you on skype this week if that’s cool. I have some strategy questions for you if that’s cool.

Daniel McGonagle August 23, 2010 at 12:50 pm

No worries, I’m working on a strategies page for the site now since I get a lot of questions about this and would prefer to educate people up front, so after they buy UAW< LB< BLS, etc… they know exactly how to use it well

Matthew K August 23, 2010 at 12:55 pm

That would help tremendously. Feeling a little lost right now and getting frustrated. Every where I turn though, I see one of your websites at the top, so I know you’re the man to ask. I just need a step by step system to follow. Thanks for your help!

Dan, thanks for all your work on LB. The L4L overview video and the L4L training 1 videos were good – but I would like to see a bit more customer service to answer questions.

Has anybody checked L4L with seo spyglass, or related tool, to see how many links to your existing links have been created? The 100x phrase (and was commented on that it doesn’t mean 100-backlinks, but could eventually) was repeated a few times. I have checked BMR and found 38 links to the original url. Is LB’s L4L goal to automatically create links to existing site links, and auto create backlinks to new LB1 links, and backlinsk to links to authority links? – created by us; and auto-backlinks to us manually filling out the offset info? If so, what type of reporting will be created by LB so we can review the info? Saying it and doing it for us to check are two different issues.

My assumption is that the authority site update will be in the next week or two.

Reply

Daniel McGonagle September 2, 2010 at 12:45 am

Your guess is as good as mine about L4L, they haven’t been that responsive lately, and while disappointing somewhat expected from programmer type dudes.

I don’ t know why the “other” links are called offsets, that right there confuses me, and ho wit all works and how to use L4L most effectively also boggles my mind, so I don’t worry about it too much, I just use LB for links to main page urls and other services to link up the inner urls.

Wish I could be of more help, but I’m not getting any answers either, and I’ve had talks with other users about this, too, and while some of them understand the concepts well (like I do) nobody can really pin down how effective it really is, nor how best to utilize it

TJ September 2, 2010 at 1:27 am

Dan, I sent you an email with a couple links that need to be shared. Maybe you have addressed the issues before, but I feel they deserve review. If you wouldn’t mind replying to me in an email or on here – I would be grateful.

I may have missed you mentioning the issues that I refer to – in prior posts or a prior year. I am more than a little concerned about h what I read.

Thanks,

spoke to Tommy today for an hour, I don’t think there’s anything to be concerned about.

Also got a better grasp on L4L and “offsets”, too

Hi Dan,

Could you give us an update on the L4L and offsets, per your conversation with Tommy last week?

Thanks.

They’re working on some improvements to the whole operation, including L4L and I believe the training videos and explanations for this will be bettered soon. That’s basically it…for now

Hello Everyone

I signed up for LinxBoss this weekend and have added 5 sites to it so I will post my results soon.

I have a business which provides lots of different services which all fall under the same niche in some way. Even though I have page 1 positions for the main keywords for my seperate sites I get the majority of my business from the pages which target an area. I have 126 area pages (one for each postcode) and have some very good results but I am going to see if I can get #1 spots for each keyword for each area?

A question I have about link velocity, does it work for the site as a whole? What I mean by this is if I start building links towards say my London page and then get a #1 spot and then start building links towards another area page instead would the London page fall back a bit because it is not longer gaining links like it was or would it still be ok as the site as a whole is still gaining links?

Also I must say you have a great site David, I have been able to decide on which services I am going to get hold of without having to waste money finding out myself as I respect your judgment and can just purchase the best of the best!

I’ve seen main urls disappear from SERPs while inner urls with links and top rankings remained, so I think velocity strategies should be considered or a per url basis. If you remove a url from a campaign or switch form main url to inner url, there shouldn’t be a decrease in SERPS, but that really is dependent upon what the competition is doing.

Also I must say you have a great site David (the name’s Dan) , I have been able to decide on which services I am going to get hold of without having to waste money finding out myself as I respect your judgment and can just purchase the best of the best!

What you purchase and do is dependent upon your current situation, are you time or cash rich. The services recommended here are a mix of both, with LinxBoss being a bit of a luxury item

Sorry Dan, have been speaking with a guy called David allot recently and must of had him on the mind, its easily done lol!

Are you saying it is only really worth building links towards 5 urls per domian? Or are you saying 1 url per domain times 5???

I have added around 10 urls per site as like I said my results are pretty good but I am going to see if I can get allot of #1 results which shouldnt be too difficult due to my current rankings (although I know getting from #4 to #1 is harder than getting from page 4 to page 1).

Lets see how it goes but I would like your views on my second question.

Thanks Dan lol

Sad to say, but since I don’t fully understand the power and/or effectiveness of the L4L, I just put some EMDs in there and take them out once ranked high enough. I figured that since some sites do great, and some sites just don’t seem to move, for whatever reason, it’s best not to dilute anything by divvying up the 200/month/url/campaign.

A week into being with LinxBoss and something strange I have found which I would like your thoughts on.

I have seen so far every link they have built for me has been added to an article taken from an article directory?? One even had a link of another site added to it which was on the original article??

Surely this isnt great practice? I NEVER use linkbuilding services to build links to my money sites but as this seemed like such as good service I did and what am I paying for? Duplicated content, not even spun content, DUPLICATED CONTENT taken from article directories??

Now I hope that its PLR or they originally wrote the content as their could be issues no? One article had been used so many times my article was in the supplemental index?

Thoughts?

Ok few months into Linx boss, after the initial jubilation of join this service, and expanding my number or urls.. I am sad to report that the linx boss effect is wearing pretty thin.

I have a particular site with over 4K links, its sits in number one, but want to constantly grow links on this particular site. Few months on the only new links this site has gained are wait for it 5 new links. 4 months for 5 links! I dont care about the length of time taken for indexing this is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too small.

Yes there is movement but its only initial movement. I don’t think linx boss is effective long-term strategy..

unfortunately, Dan you got any more new ones comming?

Right, I said before about not being too sure about the service because of the way they were building links towards my sites (read previous post) but I can say thatsince using the system for nearly a month my results have increased noticiablly!!

I have not gone on everyones intructions on how the best way to build links but its still working. Ill give you an example of my sites. Lets say I have a transport hire business. I have one site for limos, one for cars, one for lorries, one for motorbikes. I have a page for each area. I have built links towards all my area pages mostly and some to the home page and generic pages. I have varied the anchor text ALLOT even building anchor text to pages where I already rank #1 for that keyword and my results have been impressive!

I have even started to see quite drastic results for pages that have not had ANY links built towards them and I know it is Linxboss as I am not actively building links to these sites (yet)!

I wanted something automated as I have other work which is taking up my time at present but I will in a week or so start to build links using other methods such as Build My Rank and Link Farm Evolution (which I have found a great technique for) so I will post my results for those too.

Also I have not even started using L4L yet as I have to erase some domains from it which I do not want links built too which is going to take sometime. I can see that once I change the anchor text to something more targetted and start using L4L Linxboss is really going to kick in for me!

Will post more soo!

Hi Daniel: Not too impressed with this service. I’ve been with them several weeks now. I have some seasoned sites and some new sites. I use SEO Spyglass and Rank Tracker. I’ve maybe seen one or two links. Period. Even Linkvana had more juice than this service. I was all over this because of your recommendation, however I’ll be dropping it at the end of my month.

Reply

Daniel McGonagle December 5, 2010 at 8:59 am

Jay, all that matters is rankings not # of links found by inconsistent tools, and it’s highly recommended you give any service longer than just 3 weeks to accomplish anything for you/your sites. I’ve always said LinxBoss is hit or miss, it either works awesome or not at all, but it will almost always be a “miss” if you don’t give it time, and 3weeks is nothing, time-wise.

Jay, if carrying this somewhat heft monthly fee for LB is an issue then cancel it ASAP and get Article Marketing Robot and boost links gained from it with the Backlink Booster service , then you’ll see a higher # of index backlinks with Spyglass

Reply

Jay December 5, 2010 at 9:39 am

You’re right about rankings is all that matters! I don’t need a drill, I need a hole!
Ranking movement via LinxBoss=0%.
AMR is great. I signed up through your link yesterday and have around 200 published articles already after starting the drip feed last night.
I’m thinking of dropping UAW and picking up DFB and hitting the URL’s from the AMR link report. Also my main money site is 7 years old with thousands of links and thinking about direct links with DFB, but frankly a little scared having never used a xrumer type system. I’m on page 2 with some very competitive keywords and would like to see what a push from DFB could do. Keep up the good work.
Jay

Reply

Daniel McGonagle December 5, 2010 at 11:17 am

Hey Jay, you might wanna check out http://blastbank.com it seems like it does what DFB does, same offering at least, just lower priced…

And while it’s great that AMR shows you lots of submissions, again…. who cares, it’s 600 spun text content pieces going onto article directories that may/may not provide an indexed link. I know you will strive to boost those AMR articles to create indexed backlinks, but I’m just re-stressing the point of not looking at link numbers just rankings gained, and hopefully, the rise in income that ensues.

IF LB did ZERO for you, so be it, it still works for more than half my sites and feedback is still good which is consistent with my “hit or miss” assessment. Either swap it out with another url, or wait for a full 2 months to pass, or just cancel.

Reply

Brett December 10, 2010 at 7:17 am

Does anyone know an easier way to add URL’s to the L4L. The flash based form is painful for adding URL’s to. I need an Flash Form Filler but can’t find one anywhere.

Reply

Mike December 16, 2010 at 12:24 pm

I have to say I was pretty sceptical about Linxboss at first, but I’ve stuck with the service for 6 month already. And I’m impressed. I barely see any links from them to my sites, but the rankings improvement has been dramatic to say the least. Whatever that system is doing seems to be working. I’ve even purchased additional slots. And it seems every time I hook up a site, within 2-3 weeks it starts approaching page 1.

I’m not happy with UAW anymore, though. I think they lost their edge. Any recommendations for replacement ? I do need set and forget systems, as I run a lot of sites and its a pain in the butt for me to continually add content to linking services. That was a big deal for me with Linxboss.

Reply

Daniel McGonagle December 17, 2010 at 11:05 am

Mike, you’ll want to try Backlinks Genie which is quickly becoming a nice tool that I like using, and also get Article Marketing Robot. I have a discount for AMR, and am trying to get one for us from Backlinks Genie so try not to get BLG yet.

In meantime, hire a writer or staffer to use AMR for you, it’s pretty decent but not something you wanna be doing yourself

Hi Guys,

I’ve been using linxboss for some time now and have seen some increases on some of my sites, but others show now movement.

I had a look at the new links acquired and found that they were all built on blogs with completely irrelevant content on a wide range of very random topics on the same blog.
A text link is added to the bottom of the post and is once again not even close to being relevant to that post’s content.

Is anyone concerned about this? SE’s will eventually pick up this trend and discredit those links, or even worse dish out penalties.

ANy thoughts?

Reply

James January 6, 2011 at 10:41 pm

Joe, I used LinxBoss for several months and I rented out 2 slots to others. None of my renters were pleased with the results, so they quit. From my experience LinxBoss was hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. It certainly does not produce consistent results. To me, it wasn’t worth the money. You won’t get any penalties from it. You will only get penalized if you link out from your site to a ‘bad’ site.
It’s just that the results are very inconsistent. If you have a large number of sites you are promoting, it will help for a portion of them.

hey Dan,

Thank you so much for running such a dope blog and website. I love that someone gives such honest reviews instead of the hype we normally get from seos. I ran AMR on five brand new sites (I purchased the domains in Oct. of 2010) and the sites got a great boost. Then they stalled or stalemated or whatever. I then threw Linxboss at them on Jan 1, 2011. I hit page one of google for my medium competitive keyword this morning after only 6 days of linxboss.

In a word: nice!

P.S. I purchased both Linxboss and AMR through your aff link on this site. Are you still giving out free on site reviews?

Thanks!

I just wanted to confirm.

Please advise. By the way, I am a new fan of your website! Keep up the great work. I have already signed up for 1 service using your link and will be doing for other services as well!

For the terms tested and described in post we used just LinxBoss then threw some other links at it for other terms, later on…. Read the post on obfuscation of links to see why I do things this way (please)

Can someone describe more clearly what type of links / content the links goes on?
I’m guessing article networks? any other types of pages?

Are the articles duplicates from other sites? This would be bad for SEO.

Does links boss show information on what sites/pages have been gained that contain the new links? Or what information is provided?
Otherwise, how do you verify you’re actually getting anywhere near close to the 200 / 1000?

Reply

Daniel February 24, 2011 at 6:21 pm

These are mostly joomla sites, you will have a hard time find the links to your sites. If you do get this, lets rankings be the measuring stick as far as effectiveness is concerned, that’s pretty much it, really…

I think they might need to implement some sort of spinner in order for this service to stay effective. The article directories got hit hard so it’s only logical that sites that scrape from article directories are going to get hit hard also.

Reply

Daniel March 18, 2011 at 10:39 am

Briggstown, et al….

LinxBoss does spinning now, and is building link juice to their network, and also getting away from the whole TAGS as links thing, as it may be part of the reason why so few links get found. Also there will be article marketing style links (anchor text amongst content)

Reply

Tony March 18, 2011 at 3:45 pm

Really good to hear that they’re going offer links amongst content soon. I find that to be a big disadvantage when compared to BuildMyRank.

It might just be me, but it seems that my sites I’m promoting with LinxBoss do really well at first and then sort of a plateau after a few months.

Dan, What service would you (or anyone here) recommend as a the best compliment for LinxBoss if you only had the budget for two services?

James Conte March 10, 2011 at 11:57 am

Well, whatever goes on under the cover at Linx Boss, they sure aren’t consistent.

Seems great. Just plug your stuff in and it works. Perhaps it’s too good to be true. My limited results have not been stellar.

But others say they do well with it. Maybe they do…

Hi Daniel, thanks for introducing me to Linx Boss, it is an awesome system. I have seen incredible results, in particular one keyword that was sitting at position 213 jump to position 10 in only 2 weeks!!! Competition 1,190,000, other keywords are also growing slowly but surely.

I am curious though, I havn’t had L4L system pick up any of my existing back links yet, how long did it take before the system started to pick up your back links by itself?

Entering SUPER long urls myself for 1000′s of backlinks is daunting as they don’t allow copy and paste (curious as to why not!)

Reply

Briggstown March 2, 2012 at 9:58 pm

I went back over my links with Majestic SEO recently and I noticed that a lot of my LinxBoss links were de-indexed. A lot more than usual.

Has anybody else had this experience?

Might be time to re-evaluate this service.

Reply

Daniel March 20, 2011 at 10:15 am

Actually Tony, the question I would like to answer is.. “what keywords for my site are the money keywords and phrases, I want to improve my site’s conversions and need to know how to make more and do more with less traffic?”…

Because if someone’s asking me which 2 services to employ then budgeting things is a concern, and pretty much always will be if people don’t design sites well nor pick realistic keywords…

If a site is making 5 dollars a day, that pays for Linxboss, $7/day to pay for Backlinks Genie, $3/day to pay for high PR homepage backlinks, etc….

If I were you I’d look at getting more into tracking conversions and determining money keywords and ranking for those so the link building tools and services are paid for with site income, then the question almost become mute (yes i know it spelt it wrong it’s a joke).

It’s FAR easier to control your sites conversions than it is to deal with the vagaries of the search engines, and a focus on conversions inherently leads to creating a better site, which makes link building efforts more effective.

I hope I answered your question in best way possible and maybe got you to think a little differently about things.
