My Article Network – Review of the My Article Network Link Building service
I joined My Article Network last week (at the time of this writing) and staying true to form, I will use this service for a while before recommending it to anyone.
So let’s get the basics out of the way, information-wise….
What is My Article Network?
My Article Network has 2 components to it:
- Article marketing and articles syndication/promotion…
- Getting free content added to your sites for free.
The article marketing/syndication component is the link building service aspect to this, and will result in you getting one-way links back to your site from articles you write and submit to their network.
It is also a service that allows you to add your blog to their network so you can automatically receive free articles/content to publish to your sites .
You can choose to accept or reject any articles sent to you for review, and you can even check off the option to only receive articles that are 30% unique from others in the network so you won’t receive barely edited articles that are pretty much dupe content otherwise.
However, you don’t have to add a blog to their system in order to use their service. This is important to remember because a lot of people I see joining through my link are getting stuck on that process, and it’s not required…
I’m sure you’ve heard of these types of link building services before, whether they be Unique Article Wizard, Article Marketing Automation, 1WayLinks etc.., right?
Here’s where My Article Network (I call it MAN for short) claims to be different:
- They claim to have 10,000 blogs in their network which is WAY more than any other service I’ve seen has offered, even 1waylinks.
- They offer you the chance to get free content automatically, but it is not required to add a blog of yours in order to use their service.
- They promise quick acceptances of your article submissions (which was the downside to using Article Marketing automation), and so far this has been proven to be true. I have 8 articles in the network and the first one I submitted 5 days ago has been re-published on 18 other sites so far.
If you take into consideration that there are 10,000 blogs in MyArticleNetwork, that means each article you write is going to have a set-it-and-forget-it style to it since the articles will keep getting published as more sites get added to their network and the syndication of your articles and backlinks continues to spread.
How does My Article Network work, exactly?
You log in, watch the superb training videos which leave nothing left to question and you write and publish your articles.
Here’s my cheat-sheet for using their service:
1- Log in
2- Write your article - this means you select a category, write a 300-word article, then put your tags in and save as draft.
3- Rewrite/Spin your article - after writing your article you want to modify it a bit so it gets accepted by more of the blogs in the network.
My recommendations here for using this part of the service:
- Don’t use the Pre-spin function
- Use just the rewrite tool to spin your articles and rewrite each section is presents to your for rewriting until your post title and body are deemed more than 100% unique. This takes about 5 minutes to do after original article has been written
Publishing your article - You have an option here to limit the number of places that can re-publish your article, but I see no reason for anyone to put a cap on this, so leave this area set to ZERO (0) to allow for the set-it-and-forget-it features to kick in.
My recommendation for using this, or any other type of link building service that is based upon you writing articles:
You’re only allowed 3 hyperlinks per article so try to get 2 of them inserted into the body of your article, and then one at the end of the article in the footer area or resource box area.
Mid-page links amidst body of the article text are more valued than footer links although both have value.
Is My Article Network recommended?
No, not at this time.
My questions and concerns about MAN…
- Will the syndication of my articles continue beyond 18-28-38 sites publishing my articles?
- What is the quality of these sites, are they providing good links back to me when they host my articles? (the first site I checked was a Page Rank 2 site that had a ton of categories on it and it didn’t seem to really be about anything at all)
Using spinners takes time to do and almost equals the time it takes to write the original article.
Using a spinner always makes for a lesser-quality article than the original,
- which means site owners accepting these less-than-top-quality articles are allowing sub-standard articles on their sites
- which means they’re not too careful about what content they’re getting,
- which presupposes the fact that their site isn’t of top quality either…
Plus, sub-standard articles don’t get manual visitors to come to my site from other people’s sites, so there’s a bit of a conundrum there since the added element of getting traffic from people reading your articles on someone else’s site is reduced because of the sub standard quality of “spun” articles.
This is pretty much unavoidable though…there’s no way to pump out many versions of a unique article without something being affected by the process.

Thanks Dan for your good reviews =)
Thanks Patrick
Hi Dan,
I have been using UAW for the past two weeks. I must say it took a bit of learning curve but after submitting for the first time, its fine now.
These are some of my 2 weeks result: for my web 2.0 site, like ezinearticles & scribt have begin to improve but for all main site I still can’t see much movement.
But of course, I am in a high competition niche where I can only the go for the category keywords. I have to generate leads for a service industry. I do understand it will take a longer period to see the result.
I see that you strongly recommended BLS. I just got the the email inviting me to sign up, but I am really confused. I also see that you have very little review about BLS. I do not know what to choose and how complicated is BLS.
Could you advice me please?
Thanks
Hey Patrick, thanks for stopping by.
There’s a whole category of posts on BackLink Solutions, and I just wrote another info piece about it to help people out a bit.
If you’re doing lead generation, and want to do it quickly then I suggest you get a specific one-page domain name set up as a squeeze page and send all your UAW traffic to it, and just link to it as much as possible, send as much direct traffic to it as possible.
Then for the content site, seperate from squeeze page site, use EZA to slowly build links back to that site, if its new.
With new sites, it’s a good idea to get a slow drip of traffic and backlinks at first, which basically means you need to add content to content site occasionally in such a way that adds value to whatever your published articles were about, and target long-tail at first, too.
Example:
EZA article is about “which rose gardening shears should you use”,
link back to main site url in body of article
and link to a long tail post in resource box (Joe has some great tips here about using Rose Gardening Shears)
and on your site you will have content targeting long tail terms like Rose Gardening tips, Rose Gardening Tips, Rose Gardening shears reviewed)
Since UAW can provide a whole lot of backlinks in a short amount of time, it might be best to consider the age of the domain in play here, what kind of link acquisition they can handle.
Hope this helps, didn’t mean to prattle on so much, the coffee just kicked in.
Have a good day,
Dan
Hi Dan,
Thanks for your advice.
From your experience, should I go for BLS now or should I continue with UAW?
I do understand that although pagerank is not as important as before when it comes to ranking well in google.
But I am abit confused. So lets say you have 100 links from PR 0 sites and 5 links from Pr 2, to my understanding the 5 links from the PR 2 is going to improve our ranking more than the 100 links, am I right?
If that is so, does it mean pagerank is still important for gaining better ranking?
I am trying to make my decision today as whether to go for BLS or to continue with UAW.
Thanks
Patrick
Stick with UAW since you already went through your learning curve.
Building link wheels that actually work is real easy to do with UAW since you can write 3,4 articles that all link to your outer web 2.0 ring of sites, and to main sites as well.
So, UAW does as much as you want to do with it, link to EZAs, Hubs, Lenses, etc… to build up link juice of outer wheels of link wheels then when they link to your main site you’ll get some quality links from sites you built and created.
Hi Dan,
So you mean for eg: I have 6 articles spread across 6 different web 2.0 and linking them together and at the same time each of the properties linking back to my money site?
Further to that I will use UAW to help me to drive links to all the 6 sites is that correct?
How effective is the linkwheel strategy for ranking well for my highly competitive keywords?
Thanks.
Pat, that’s correct, I smile inside whenever I see your name show up because I keep thinking of Junior SeaU the NFL player coming back to play for my New England Patriots.
Anyhoo, yes that’s the general outlay for linkwheels, but it’s been my experience that these web2.0 properties need to be developed just like any virtual real estate in order to provide a valuable backlink
Read this and this to get some reality checks about link wheels
