I’ve had several comments and emails from people who are hearing that Unique Article Wizard is no longer effective and that UAW’s custom proprietary content-spinning, (and content-spinning in general) have been “outed” by the search engines.

The common thread of the feedback/concerns:

  1. “Every site I used UAW to get direct links to has dropped considerably in the SERPs.”
  2. “My articles don’t have any real effect any more.”
  3. “UAW articles have a footprint.”

In Part one we discussed Natural Link building and how to fake it, but it was really more of an in-depth introduction to the concept.

So how can you take matters into your own hands to generate seemingly natural backlinks?

Well, link wheels come to mind here, but a LOT of people aren’t building link wheels properly.

They’re basically creating easily detected 3 or 4-way backlinks that aren’t open-ended enough to be deemed as natural.  That’s why there have been so many reported cases of link wheels getting G-slapped.

Natural Link Building + How To Fake It

A common piece of seo link building advice is to practice natural link building, but according to the folks at Google and other search engines, proactively generating backlinks is basically spam-like behavior.

To syndicate content and build web properties and websites for the sole purpose of creating an entity that backlinks to your desired end destinations is not what they’re hoping will happen.  They want sincere editorial-like “votes”  from other sites and people and places to be the only votes that occur/matter.

Therefore, what the search engines are really looking for are natural backlinks, votes given freely and with sincere purpose and intent.
