Rank builder supposedly does Web 2.0 account creations, email verifications, content submissions, RSS mashups, RSS submissions, profiles link building, and spinning.
Here’s how the first test went.
- Profiles Link builder- smooth, fast, flew right through the de-captchas, worked well
- RSS submissions – worked flawlessly
- Web 2.0 account creations – only 1 out of 50 account creations failed, pretty good
- Email verifications- didn’t work
- Web 2.0 content submissions – didn’t work all failed, perhaps due to not using a catch-all email address
- Spinner – handles big-time spinning double-nested spinning, works well with the Best Spinner.
Downsides that should be fixed:
Still gotta babysit this tool, same as SE Nuke and push it form one module to the next, no biggie nothing’s perfect
Biggest issue in long run is the user names for account creations are all the same and should be different, randomized, unique etc….
Is it a resource hog that crashes all the time like SE nuke?
Used hardly any resource, didn’t crash once, took 3 hours to do a big run, of account creations (manual) email verifications, profiles linking, RSS submissions, spinning,
Other Notes: Rank builder is basically the new and improved Link Builders Pro, is a JV between Maulana and Alex Goad, so if you read reviews on Link Builders Pro that said it sucked, then realize this is not your grand-daddy’s LB Pro!
If you read reviews about Alex Goad’s stuff that’s negative that’s news to me, and I could care less about old news, all I care about it whether or not this tool/service works well. I’m an isolationist type of dude and don’t cater to the mainstream or guru audience, but you know that, right? RIGHT!
If our test with the Web 2.0 submissions works well when using catchall domains/email addresses, this will definitely be recommended.
As good if not better than SE Nuke, especially if they randomize the user names portion of the account creations.
Update will be posted here in a few hours, hope Alex and Maulana fix the (same for all accounts) user names thing though! Gimme a sec, waiting for my partner to run the catch-alls test
UPDATE:
RB won’t work with free yahoo emails, you need to use a catchall domain email address or free pop3 account in situations like this. With RB, the catchalls don’t work, but a free pop3 did work, so once that was done, email verifications were flawless. Still, after all that, only got 35% success rates with the Web 2.0 submissions.
UPDATE 2, 9/9/2010: 70% success with Web 2.0 submissions, but was a real quirky PITA to get to that point, and VAST majority of users, do not have the wherewithal to screw around with this in order to get 70% success rate.
Also, of the 70% successes, 3 were immediately deleted, not programs fault, but we got 32 successful submissions on some web 2.0s that aren’t deleted (yet!
)
UPDATE 9/10/2010: About half of the successfully submitted web 2.0s are already deleted.
No contact from anyone at Rank Builder (not a programmer or co-owner, nothing) despite knowing their software has major issues. This bodes not well for any future consumers….
Stay away until someone reputable with integrity actually uses the service and can show you proof it works, and well, repeatedly, consistently

Awesome review Dan!
Love the no-holds, barred tell it like it is approach to your link building tools & service reviews. Seriously its saved me a ton of cash with sorting out the crap from gold.
Keep up the good work champ
Cheers
JB
Hey JB, good to see you over here, thanks for the feedback, hope this thing pans out
hey Dan
Good review and very interested to hear your updates. I spent the whole day on Rank Builder, i thought i had seen the back of Internet Explorer but this little baby made me dig it out and upgrade it and i had forgotten how much i hate IE !! So the main difference in my results to yours were that my web 2.0 registrations ran around a 25% success rate, i used manual captcha, it sounds like you used an auto captcha service so maybe that helped. As i pointed out in a long email this evening if they went through a project from start to finish ina training video instead of reading out a script from slides on the training videos it would be a huge help. I have always steered clear of SEnuke as i heard plenty of deindexing stories but i think if they can get the bugs sorted on this, particularly getting the email notification to work(how did you get a 98% success rate on profile creations without email notification?)
this will be a very useful product. Look forward to further updates.
Good questions. The reason there were so many SE nuke de indexing stories is because people expected SE Nuke to do everything for them, and everything that it does do, is good for initial indexing of new stuff, but you need more than rss submissions and bookmarks to keep stuff indexed these days. That’s why there’s a dearth of indexing tools and services and scripts (oh my!) out there now, as referenced in this post on how to get backlinks indexed.. I’ll be taking them same approach with Rank Builder if I decide to use it heavily. Right now I’m kinda wary of it due to the same user name for all accounts issue and a couple of other things. Hope they’re open to making some changes and improvements to this.
25% is a very bad success rate.
Tips to Improving Success Rates:
1. Please run CCleaner before using this software.
2. Please install a fresh IE 8 and remove any 3rd party add-ons.
3. Use a US proxy or VPN.
Hi Dan, did you use Yaoo.co.uk email to register? Please send me the log of your email verification and submission error, so I can help you solve it.
Thanks for the reply Dan, did i understand correctly that you successfully created 49 out of 50 web 2.0 profiles without email notification?
Thanks Maulana for your tips but my ip is in australia, are you sure a us proxy will help !! I did install a new IE8 today and ran it nude without addons, i will take your advice on CC cleaner and see if that helps.
Hi thanks for the update.
I have had some grief with this.
The emails from the sign ups never went to my inbox.
All the submissions failed.
Looks like it would be a good tool if it worked.
I am not really sure what to do, will they fix it?
I tried it twice to see if I missed anything.
Any advice would be great!
Marty Ware
Hi Dan, you should retry the failed sites. I can get 40+ successful submission on my last run. The free yahoo.co.uk has a free POP3 support. That’s why we include the automatic email creator in the software. Please send me the log of the submission.
Maulana, get me on Skype don’t wanna go at solving this piece by piece, taking too much of my time
Dan I mirror your anger and part of me is pretty relieved that this is not just my experience because
I threw a whole day at this piece of s**t. The product is not ready, the training is not ready.this talk by maulana of free yahoo email jiggery Pokery is not in the training.
I would greatly appreciate if maulana either sorted the bugs out on his product or offered all users to skype to sort out areas of doubt. If he really stands by his product he will have long term customers if he solves the issues otherwise he will have massive detractors in the forums
One thing to note here, to be fair and realistic..is that SE Nuke and EVO forums are filled with the same types of complaints.
But we did get 100% email confirmations, and 35% success with Web 2.0 submits, so not bad but could be a lot better.
Registering with any Yahoo account gets those yahoo emails banned because Yahoo doesn’t like seeing lots of emails coming in all at once to newly created email addresses/accounts. But when the “monthly fee clock” is ticking hardly anyone would have patience to wait a week before doing account creations, I wouldn’t think.
I asked Maulana to come see me on Skype to discuss. If the Goad guy is US-based I’ll try to get him on phone.
My Yahoo inbox was totally empty. Should I change it as the last comment says that Yahoo doesnt like a flood of new emails.
I got 100 failure,,so I would love to just get 30% or so!
Looking for help here please
Thanks
Marty
I’m sure Maulana knows how to work his stuff better than me, all I know is that NOT using Yahoo, even yahoo.uk with pop3 worked better for me when I used a free non-Yahoo POP3 instead.
Well that’s certainly interesting that you got a 100% email verification froma non yahoo email, maybe that is the core of the problem. I had the same experience as marty in that the yahoo.co.uk inbox that was created was 100% unsuccessful in email verification, so maybe you’ve hit the nail on the head,Dan. Would you mind pointing us to which free email service you used that did work. I imagine gmail to be just as strict as yahoo in this respect. I’m sure you are right that all similar products are far from perfect thoughthe frustration is that this was presented as a finished article yet one of the fundamentals it is built on is generating random yahoo email addresses. I have also had a couple of other problems with my further testing, the random link string seems to link with previous unrelated articles rather than those in a current publishing list. Also a lot of accounts that were created are no longer receiving the login details that were created, the email verification is part of this but there are many that did not require email verif. Jury’s still out but i’d love to get some clarity on the email verif.
I’d just get a refund, because there’s a lot to fix here.
You just lost a day here, easily worth the 60-70 dollars you didn’t spend on SE Nuke…which is proven, and buggy and crashie, but proven nonetheless.
RB still has to fix email thing, web submission rate failures, also has an issue with adding catchall domain via cpanel (form field error).
After that it remains to be seen if RB will keep up with the changes these Web 2.0 sites make to try to “protect” themselves from autobots registering and posting
to their sites, and that requires constant upkeep and software modularity changes.
I would love to know what free email provider you used to get such solid results.
I know I have been here a lot, but I have had no reply from support and my time is really limited being a full time single father.
Could you please provide the details and I will try to get it going.
Don’t want to give up now!
Basically nothing has worked, 100% no emails, they didnt even land in my inbox, and 100% failure on submissions.
I am sorry to be a bother, just after a little help.
Who knows maybe someone reading this can Skype me.
skype: worldboardridersclub
Unfortunately add very low success rate on rss submission, my attempt yielded 20%, captcha window did not appear maybe that was the problem !!
Hey Mike contact them with these errors and what not, because Maulana IS asking for submissions reports and what-not and we got higher success rates than you with everything, but it’s really their job to teach you how, ok?
Ok Dan
Will do.
Thanks, I really think so many people get wrapped up ion this fallacy that they have to spend more time chasing these links than they do creating great content, it just doesn’t work that way…
So,write good content and people will link back to you automatically, is that what you’re suggesting?
I tried it when it was Linkbuilder Pro and it was crap even back then… cannot expect an Alex Goad to improve it (only to pimp it and make it worse) and I’m talking as a member of Auto Content Cash from Mr. Goad.
Coming back to this **** I never ever got it to work… even registered at the forum and sought help but nobody even bothered to reply. Cannot expect Maulana & Co. to start fixing it now. God save the poor souls who think they can use it.
SENuke all the way! At least it works and has very good support.
I’ve used a couple of Alex Goad’s products. I’ll change the word “pimp” from this comment to “hype” with no substance. For the word worst to be used, one would have to assume that it was good to begin with, and that anything of worth had been done to make it better, which I doubt. I don’t feel like being taken again.
Hello… RB actually is quite good. I can get 70%+ success rate from my last submission process. Maybe all of you didn’t follow the manual correctly that’s why the success rate is not good.
For email confirmations, it worked 100% for me by using gmail and yahoo.co.uk. Make sure your inbox is not contains lot of mails…
Interesting and almost helpful post Dan. My problem however, I purchased Rank Builder last night and can’t even access the system. I sent an email to support and no answer.
Perhaps it’s time to contact Clickbank …
Well, I’d give them 24 hours at least!
If you insist ….
I actually intended too, just a tad frustrated
Thanks for all the great info Dan!
Frustrated?!?! Wait until you actually get access to it!
Thanks for the post and the honest review Dan.
I signed up with RB after 6 ‘gurus’ hounded me on their lists to buy it.
Well I must say that so far my experience hasn’t been great.
In fact I haven’t even been able to use the software yet!
I think there must be an activation issue. I had previously downloaded LB Pro when it was owned by Maulana and the free version seemed to do what it said.
However, now that I’ve actually PAID for the software I can’t get it to work at all. I get a “wrong activation code” message and all I can do is use the free trial version.
I’ve sent the support team a ticket with no reply as such. I’ve also PM’ed Maulana via Warrior forum.
I have 2 days left until my 5 day subscription runs out and then I will get charged the $67 a month.
Can you guess what I’m going to do if I don’t hear back from Alex, Maulana or his support team in the next 48 hours????
I had great hopes for this software. I’m a longtime SENuke user and I’ve been looking for something that can do a similar job , but for less than $127 / month.
Watch this space. I will update you with the news – good or bad…..
Can’t believe Traffic Travis dude actually supported Rank Builder
Alex said on some forum that Rank Builder experienced a DDOS attack, so they were down for a bit right during their launch.
Doesn’t change the fact that the tool doesn’t work well. I emailed him, and Maulana asked them to help me help them.
Well, needless to say I didn’t renew my subscription.
What bugs me with this experience is the hyperbole and greed of the marketers that are trying to promote this software.
It’s not a terrible product by any means but it falls way short of all the promises.
I just received an email yesterday from Mr Goad stating that he now has 5 full time programmers working on the software. Sorry but this make me even more dubious. If it was such a great piece of kit in the first place, why has he had to hire more people to improve it!
There’s a saying here in the UK, “you can’t polish a turd” – and I think it sums up my view on this product.
MY RECOMMENDATION
Don’t buy it. Web 2.0 submissions have a low success rate. Social bookmarking uses OnlyWire which is free anyway. Usernames are not randomized, leaving a big footprint for Google to find you out.
Save your money and invest in more tried and tested tools like UAW, LinkJuicer, Senuke etc etc.
I have cancelled my Rank Builder in Clickbank and will go and use the Best spinner, purchased from the link above and do my sumissions manually for now.
Thanks for all your support here!

Hi Daniel a little off-topic here, will you share your thoughts on magicsubmitter.com, can it be an alternative to RB or LBP. Or how about your review on Magic Submitter when you get time to review this tool.
I’ll try to get around to it, 35 directories, video sharing, wordpress blogs, rss … not bad, even does profiles linking but I’m not sure what it does for web 2.0s
Waiting eagerly for this review..
You just commented on the review!
Great post, and comments, very helpful.
I am fairly new to using an automated process. I did buy AMR last week, and am just finishing up making the first article spin ready in their system. I then purchased Rank Builder, and have had troubles with the social sites using decaptcher.com. decaptcher.com says it is a problem with the Rank Builder software, not with decaptcher.
There is so much to learn for someone like myself who is learning by trial and error, which many of us do.
Is there another software that will submit the article links to RSS feeds also?
Do you have any experience with Article Marketing Robot? It is fairly easy for me to figure out with my limited experience, (other than how to properly do the lining in the resource box ), but there is still a leaning curve.
Thanks for the great post.
Hi kevin
There is a good plugin for wordpess that i have been using called Web Traffic genius, fellow aussies built it,it submits a new rss feed every time you create a post and mixes it up with other content either on your site on from somewhere else(you decide in the set up) i think it cost $49, as with many of these products here has been an update due out for a few months and ghe beta is dragging on but obviously that’s a better solution than the Rank Builder philosophy of not testing the product then being shocked with the roof caves in. By the way i went through day 4 yesterday of RB, i am persevering with it because i want to get something out there to test it. As has already been documented i feel like i have been to the dentist for 4 days. I honestly don’t know how Eriz got the yahoo email to work, i have had 0% success from 3 full runs. I used gmail and used an old account with a full inbox so the email notification starts checking the inbox from the oldest email so was opening a lot of emails that were not relevant i aborted and so burnt all the hard work in the registering process(filling out hundreds of these captchas i consider hard work, many are illegible) as i could not continue by changing the email address. 5th attempt produced the best yield, 26 registrations but only 16 successful article postings. Still i’d have been delighted with 16 postings a few days ago. The profile builder seems to get locked up pretty early in it’s cycle, not sure if others had the same experience, but it seems to do a fair job eventually,
Bottom line is this is a long way from an automated process but if they can clean it up it may have a future.
Thanks Michael,
I will take a look at Web Traffic Genius. What I liked about RB, is that it was supposed to submit to RSS also. I just thought the more this type of software could do, the better. Maybe it turned out to be wishful thinking on their part, or maybe it is just bugs that will get sorted, either way, I stop my subscription before the monthly charged kicked in.
Right now my hands are full learning AMR and getting it to work for me. Once I get it figured, I’ll track what happens with my sites.
Kevin
Kevin, we’re using/reviewing AMR right now.
Wish there was a way to know, or be told…how many of the directories are DoFollow, at least in the resource box. It’s the only possible bad thing I can see about this tool, if anything
Hi Daniel
one thing i forget to mention is i do have magic submitter, but unfortunately i am not able to use it fully, its been i think around 3 months now and still not able to use as i am unable spare time for it as i am working on lots of projects makes me busy in them and i am thinking to unsubscribe from next month, by the way if you have not got it, i would happily like to give you my user & password as one can you use it in 2 different pc’s alternatively, shoot me email if you need my details, as i would really like your view on this tool.
latest updated list of magic submitter services.
1) 75 Article Directories
151 Forum Profile Sites ( Expression Engine Powered)
2) 26 Social Bookmarking Sites
3) 27 Blogs or Web 2.0
4) 16 RSS
5) 150 Video Sharing Sites(Youtube, etc.)
6) 18 Press Release Sites
7) 53 Wordpress Blogs( Wordpress powered Article Directories)
Hope that was useful.
Regards,
Rushikesh
Rushikesh, thanks very much for the offer and the updates. I was dying to find out the specs on what Magic Submitted to.
Looks decent though if it works well, functions well. Does it function well? What are success rates like is it automated at all?
it still needs baby sitting as what other people say in forums and i agree as well, i am only using its article submission feature only and only submitting it to 10 directories i know that is very few, and do mass submission with magic article submitter, so far if my internet is good it takes 10-15 min., as the directories are top directories like ezinearticles.com, goarticles, which require sub category selection which MS is not offering it only selects top category, so i need to baby sit for few directories to select sub category.
I also use it for Press Release Submission, not the one they are offering i already had 30 press release sites added before they launched their own press release list, for my list of 30 sites it takes me anywhere to around 1-2 hours, as it depends on my internet connection as it sometimes sucks in speed.
i know not using much features of it, i will try to use all features this month of this software and get to you with my actual success rate, may be if i have time i will create a video using MS.
As i am not using it that is why i offered you to try my subscription as i know you will do the best review for it.
Magic Submitter still lacks a strategy type tutorial to how to get success with it, it does have step by step tutorials on it features but not a strategy to use it to get the best results out of it, not friendly if you dont have any strategy to work with it. This is just my thought on what i feel.
Thanks for the review Dan. It’s my first time on your site, but I’ve bookmarked it.
My Results with RB:
Submitted my first article 2 days ago:
-used manual captchas and got about a 90% success rate. 4 of the x# of web 2.0 sites didnt work.
-rss submissions were flawless
-Actual link submissions to web 2.0 sites were pretty strong for mine. I’d say about 95% of my 90% success rate. None have been deleted yet that I know of.
I don’t see anything for social bookmarking sites in their software. My 7 daytrial is coming to an end and after hearing everyone’s feedback, it’s making me nervous. Is there a #1 software you can recommend Dan?
Hi, thanks for the feedback on Rank Builder. Please come back in a week and tell me/us how many of those urls are still there, not deleted. SE Nuke is still better for this kind of thing, still holding out some hope for RB to validate itself
Dan, here’s an update on my RB.
The links are still there but the second time I tried to submit articles, a lot of the websites stopped working. The account still exists, the blog is still live, but I can’t post on it anymore. I canceled my subscription as well. I asked a question and customer support was slow and not very helpful.
Anyway, my 2 cents. No go to RB
Thankyou for an actual review and not some cloaked in the beginning sales page. I get so tired of those things. Sounds like they have a way to go to actually claim RB as a success. You are bookmarked and staying tuned.
I was hoping that it was only me. I have put an extraordinary amount of time in doing this. From watching the screens come and go while watching for captchas I can tell you that I have a lot of sign on failures, e-mail verification failures, etc., I have processed 4 runs at this point with all of the links pointing to two websites. The real disappointing part is that I can’t confirm one single link to either site as having come from my efforts with Rank Builder. I can deal with glitches, snags, etc., as long as we are moving the ball up the field. I’m still setting on the zero yardline.
On the plus side I did get a response from “Support” yesterday. They were right on the money. Still the result is zero links despite logs showing that things were processed, etc. Anyone else?
It’s too quick to check for credited backlinks, that’s an insanity game right there…
Did rank builder build rank? Are your self-generated web 2.0 entities still there?
If the answer to either of these is “NO” then that’s good reason to get rid of this tool.
Get Sick Profile Maker for 20/month,
buy links packets for up to 100 dollars more,
then use something like article marketing robot to get way more links than RB
Just found this site today, love it! Quick question, has anyone tried SERP Assist, heard some good things about this but as usual haven’t seen any decent reviews. Have you checked it out Daniel?
Steve, just wrote a quick review for you, since I’ve been repeating myself a lot lately (about SERP Assist)
Hello,
I have been using this software since the beta. I became really good, using it, submitting, etc to full functionality and have always been buggy. Noneless this software has been a great addition to my business (adsense sites) and also help me to start a new small venture, offering backlink services in ebay and have earned 200 stars with 100% positive feedback.
Maulana has been great replying to the support tickets and resolving almost all of the issues. (until 2 weeks ago)
Alex Goad promoted a software that was not working 100%. There were 3 issues that were not fixed and still the soft went to launch:
1. ping.fm feature was not working since 1 month
2. after submission of articles, some posts urls were not saved, you had to go back, log in again, find the post and saved it
3. login of accounts created not saved (some of them). You have to go back and see if the login will work or not. If it works, then you save the account.
The webmasters change the login process all the time and this makes the process slow but with practice you can create the accounts and then submit. After the submision process is finished you can see the ones not submitted and do it semi automatic by stopping the software after it logs in the property. I know is a pain but I was able to have 40 properties created and articles submitted. I always did 3 layers of articles on each property. (firs one with no links to “mask” the property).
I have done 3 types of linkwheels:
Natural (non interconnected)
Connected (where one property links to another)
Sandwich (one layer of web 2.0 pointing to another layer of web 2.0′s that points to main site)
All of them work nice.
I have also give them extra link juice, using magic article submitter, I sent 400/600 articles pointing and spread through the properties using LSI keywords as anchor. My wheels using this software are great but again, I do a lot of my own twists and spin the pharagraps as well so the link is never in the same place.
I also use the rss + ping.fm feature of the software to input the urls of the articles I submitted using MAS to create the rss feed in automatic + ping.fm submission (until was working a month ago).
Now, the only thing I have to say, this software went main stream and went DOWN. I can’t login anymore and after 48 hours NOBODY has replied to my ticket. Stay away until this crap is fixed. I have clients lined up for linkwheels that are on hold because this. If this doesn’t get fixed soon, sadly, I will discontinue my membership and try SEnuke, I do not care about the price.
I hope this comment help other people
Best!
Mxwealth
STAY AWAY OF RANK BUILDER.
Tis is the answer from support, after 48 hours, I bumped the request and ask when is going to be fixed. This is the answer:
“When? When you STOP BEING IMPATIENT!
Clickbank CLEARLY states that you should expect to wait up to *48* hours, for a response from ANY support area!
Glad to help you,
Andy”
No wonder they suffered that (fictitious?) DDOS attack.
This thing’s like a car crash can’t stop watching it, hard to look away
Boy, I have never received so much aggravation…. their “customer service” guy wrote again:
All I did was quote Clickbank policy.
Go argue with them – and make a fool of yourself there, too.
Glad to help you,
Andy
They’re probably gonna have to use their own non-working tool to try and do reputation management via all their EMDS out there then.
I wonder if any of the EMD launch jockeys take this stuff into consideration when they’re scrambling to register domain names to pimp out a product that they’ve never tried nor tested?
I’ve been following this RankBuilder thread and all your others on all-in-one like-building tools, including one were you indicate that since RB is so buggy, SerpAssist is so limited, and even SENuke and LinxBoss have significant hangups, we’d do better to chuck them all in favor of manually blog-posting through Blogguest and piecing together a package with SickProfile, UAW, AMR and Xrumer.
A lot more tedious & complicated, but I don’t mind doing that if the all-in-one-Nukes won’t work as promised. You seem to indicate SENuke is still the best of the troubled bunch, but still with questionable results compared to more manual methods. So my question is: What Would Dan Do? (or what does Dan do?)
And also, where does your own AutomatedLinkBuilding subscription service fit into this mix? Are you still offering that?
Rhythm
Rank Builder has potential, but that potential will probably never be realized judging from lack of feedback, repulsive customer service, and some other stuff too. my ALB is lame service that still hasn’t really got off the ground.
I use Xrumer, UAW, LinxBoss, Article ranks ( a little) and build My Rank and AMR
Thanks, Dan, too bad about ALB, just reread the sales page and would have signed up in an instant for 7 bucks, if it did all it said would.
As for your What Does Dan Use list, I’m still 1-year IM “newbie” whose making a couple thou/mo. mostly from EPN autoblogs that don’t really get their traffic from backlinks. I’m just now venturing into Adsense sites and product review sites, and want to build backlinks to these. But at my IM income level, Xrumer + dedicated server is way too much, even LinxBoss price is a little scary, so I might just have to use SickProfile and maybe UAW for a while till I’m richer.
Was all set to give SENuke a 1-month trial, when I saw RB, and bought it. I’m gonna try a couple submission rounds with it and I’ll report my results here. I noticed you didn’t mention SENuke in your own arsenal…is that because of it’s shortcomings, or because you already use LinxBoss and like its results?
You’re probably better off using Drip Feed Blasts instead of Sick.
SE Nuke’s not mentioned merely because I can’t stand the idea of paying that much to build web entities that get deleted, not that web 2.0 creations is all the SE Nuke does well, just a philosophical thing for me, but I guess I should make it one of the top choices, since it does do quite a bit of work, albeit they’ve padded in useless stuff like kw research tool (Market Samurai is better) and their social bookmarking tool (Bookmarking Demon is better) etc…
Thanks again, great info as always Dan. As diligent as your are about scouring & reviewing these tools, and as wise as you are about which ones to use and not, you’re probably an IM millionaire by now:-)
Let me know if you ever get ALB in cruise mode, I’ll subscribe for sure!
I hate compicated tools like this. Way too much profiling and such although I did try it a few months ago when it was link builder PRO. It really did not work at all and I easily gave up.
By the way I am giving Build My Rank a go since I do not mind creating content manually as much as dealing with complicated tools like this. Its all thanks to your recommendation. And yes I bought through your link.
Dan, which tools would you recommend if I wanted to rank well for a medium competitive keyword to my homepage as well as non competitive keywords to about 300 different pages? Is it better to try to get backlinks to every single page at the same time, or to slowly do 1 page or 3 pages at a time? I’m fairly new to the SEO world and would like to learn what the most effective strategies would be.
Any input would be great.
So Dan, Drip Feed Blasts or Xrumer-SEO?
I checked out both services, Xrumer-SEO seems to have more package choices (like combos w/SENuke, etc.) and better prices, plus guarantee of expertise and success rate, so I’m leaning there.
But you mentioned DFB to me, above, so I wanted your opinion.
Thanks
Rhythm
Hi i have heard alot about rank builder and its capabilities but would like to know generally how it compares to its main competition?
Better value than SERPAssist, not as good as SE Nuke.
Dan, Maulana sent RB vs. 2.6.6 yesterday, which now includes article submissions and some promised bug fixes. Did you get it and will you update your thoughts on its value now?
Rhythm
I’ll take a look again soon, but it’s the web 2.0 submissions that really worry me, so many getting deleted, and so soon after their creation/publication.
They need to fix bugs, have an overall better attitude/communication channel/customer support, and to do something akin to BMD to have a decent social bookmarking feature (OnlyWire’s a joke)
Dan, you are rite! At first I though RB can do some bookmarking stuff like BMD but ends up using OnlyWire login. This is so ridiculous! They think only newbie is using RB? There are lots of heavy duty IMarketers are testing their software.
I subscribed it for 7 days trial but stop using it for the 2nd day. It is really not up to the standard as listed in sales letter. I think RB should drop to Beta version before any soft launch again.
Hey Dan,
have you tried Xgen?
xgenseo.com
I know someone whom I trust implicitly in these matters try this and he said it “sucks”. That’s pretty much all the details I have on that.
This is not a finished product but my main gripe is the support – they are downright rude!!!
Will make a final attempt to get this working – has anyone got a phone number for rankbuilder that works???
Not only rude but also have no clue. They closed my ticket without answering. I just opened another ticket because now the properties that require captcha do not work anymore, almost all of them. (I have check and have a good balance in my decaptcher account). I am going to test MS
Give it up man, you got clients waiting to get work done. Don’t get sucked into their rudeness, let it go.
Support guys a chump, their product’s getting bashed ALL over the place, nobody from their “company” is defending it, they claim to have 4-5 programmers working on this, but it’s still broken is several areas, their customer support guy is an ASSHOLE, and Goad doesn’t care about his customers.
How many more slaps in the face do you need?
I’ve been using Rank Builder. It does have quite a few bugs. I have to baby sit it as it is running. Definitely not fully automatic. I’m kind of new at this. I’m just wondering out loud. Despite the bugs. Are the links I am creating really worth anything? That’s the real question.
There are numerous problems and bugs. But are these links worth much and how long will they exist?
The Web 2.0s and profile slinks have good value, can’t say much about their article links though
I don’t use their article marketing tool. Article Marketing Robot that you mentioned before is much better. Actually, I am quite impressed with Article Marketing Robot, it is better than other tools I have used. Is superior to Brad Callen’s article marketing tool by quite a bit.
Rank Builder put out an update a few days ago. I used it. It is definitiely an improvement. Works much better that before. Many more web 2.0s created without a problem.
One thing I have noticed about it. The links I create with the Link Wheel Builder get indexed very quickly. Unlike the UAW and MAN links. I like Dan’s description: UAW and MAN like throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing what sticks. To me, it doesn’t look like much is sticking.
I remember you saying that yahoo email addresses were getting deleted. Can you tell me why this would happen?
I have now had rank builder for about two months and I am still unsure if I will keep the subscription long term.
I have found using a proxy service and submitting from either USA or Canada seems to help. A number of the web 2.0 sites delete even the best posts with only a single ink in them within a few days.
I have constant problems with email verification using yahoo.co.uk which is the default, the thing telling me my firewall is blocking it even when the fire wall is off.
I used the article submitter once and they had forgotten to implement pen names so every site failed, so i gave up with that.
The forum profile builder just seems not to work. I have asked support now three times for a list of actual sites this works with, they send me the list of supported forums rather than a list of know good sites.
I have tried submitting to Expression Engine Forum
vBulletin Forum
Simple Machines Forum
PhpBB2 Forum
IPBoard Forum
PunBB Forum
and so far no had a single success or an adequate reply from the support desk.
I think the web 2.0 portion looks good and when it works works well. I am also not sure about how the articles are sticking although I am monitoring this.
It is a real shame that all three components dont work and work reliably and the support desk often take three day to get back to you only to quote from the manual things you tell them you have already tried.
My rating as a concept is 9 out of 10 for current deliver against the monthly price tag 2 out of 10, but i Would love to use just this on one of my new sites exlusively to see what links are built.
In fact I will do I have just built http://www.christmas-accessories.co.uk/ a couple of days ago and I will use rank builder exclusively besides this post so everyone can keep an eye on its performance.
I did a web 2.0 full round of submission five days ago and so far I am showing three links of which 2 are from rank builder, so not great.
Saying all that I have not canceled the subscription yet!
The article submitter with Rank Builder is worthless, don’t even bother with it at all. I don’t know why they even would create such an inferior product. I have created a lot of Web 2.0′s with it. Yes, the Yahoo email accounts do get disabled sometimes.
In general, yes, this tool has a lot of bugs. Could be quite useful if the software was tested well and updated often. I still use it as another tool in my arsenal, but it certainly has its flaws.
i spent 2 months on this thing… and i had to spend so much time fighting to get this working… i had enough, i dont care how well this COULD work its not worth the effort.
i wish Alex and Maulana or whoever for that matter, get this waste of time and resources software tested first!
i mean why do i pay for something and then FORCED to spend my TIME and effort to get it fixed? i dont know about other people but i dont have the time, i work enough as it is. to have to pay for something that doesnt work 100% of the time, then later to find out that…hold on… you know all that hard work you done? yea…. well guess what its been deindexed. (thumbsup) thanks guys….
Andy? the customer support? yea he makes you feel real stupid.. like its YOUR FAULT thats things are going wrong.
seriously guys who ever this guy is? i think he needs relax a bit and understand what customer service is…? its a service to support..not try
and undermine and not to mention put people off the whole process.
its to much effort… forget it, stay clear, stay away, and altogether JUST save your time and most of all MONEY.
here are some tips.
go onto warrior forum, go to warriors for hire, hire someone to do this for you who knows what they are doing.
pay them and be happy knowing you have a professional team to get the work done.
tip number 2. do it yourself if you have the time.
Rank Builder just came out with a new update today. Here are the changes. Got an email from Alex Goad notifying me. Haven’t tried it yet. Hopefully, it’s an improvement.
Here’s a list of the updates:
- Added new tool to automate social bookmarking (Social Bookmark Submitter)
- 10 sites included in the new Social Bookmark Submitter tool (more to come later)
- Fixed broken sites (for LWB)
- Fixed PunBB spinned signature problem (for PLB)
- Added MyBB forum platform automation (for PLB)
- Added a preview signature button (for PLB)
- New default forum list with lots of new high PR sites (over 900+)
Hi Dan and all, Thanks for the review of RB and related posts.
Being new to IM, it is surely helpful.
Dan, you recommend Unique Article Wizard, if get that tool, can I then skip “best article spinner”?
And do you have any experience or input on the Auto Blog Samurai software? thanks
Pete, I would get the Best Spinner no matter what, as it has a multitude of purposes and is one time fee. Not sure if it works well with UAW but you can use it for a lot of different purposes so get both in my opinion.
AutoBlogSamurai I don’t know much about…. some says it the best AutoBlogging course and community out there now, some say use WP Mage and Ebay affiliate network, some people use manual software, some say use a hodge-podge collection of wordpress plugins and affiliate datafeeds, etc…. it’s really not my cup of tea so I really can’t give good advice on that sorry.
However, I am testing out WP Mage sites now for ebay auctions and we’ll see how that goes. There’s certain niche criteria that must be met before doing autoblogging.wp mage, ebay stuff. I might get into that on one of my other sites, just not here…
Hi Dan, Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
I will keep coming back to this site and hear what you have say as I appreciate your authentic review of seo and softwares rather than the so called “software reviews” out there that are only fake.
Greetings
I just subscribed and I like it so far. I had it running pretty slow. I set it to 1 thread and 4 retries and it was pretty successful like that.
The software is pretty stable.
The profile linker worked pretty good with the default list. Now I just need to find another list of forum sites.
I tried it for the seven day trial. I had the same problems that you mention. I would not pay the monthly fee for this until I here it runs great. Good review on your part.
Thanks for stopping by Bruce, SEO Link robot is a comparable tool with the one time fee you might be looking for…you get what you pay for though, and usually a monthly fee means a better tool, just not in the case of the Rank builder
Rank Builder is an OK tool at best.
Sure it can make some web 2.0 profiles and post to them, but at the speed it goes and the fact that you literally have to babysit it as it runs, you can just do it at manually anyways. Profile link builder works OK as well but it didn’t even correctly post my signature and left it as code in all of the profiles I made on my first run. I’ve never tried the article submitter, social bookmarking submitter, or press release submitter so I cant count on those.
I think the best strategy is to find the best piece of software that specializes in ONE thing such as a tool for article submissions, web 2.0 creation, profile links, blog comments, etc.
Using these tools wisely aka patiently and creating tiers is a solid way to start. I compare SEO tools to steroids, once you work with them your body needs them to keep going at its best from then on (if that makes sense). So once you start using these tools, you better keep it in moderation but on a consistent basis.
