Submit Your Article Review – I’ve been using SYA since 17 Feb, 2011 and here is my review.
So I wrote a post about intensive night cream for sensitive skin and my keywords that I was aiming for are in the title:
- night cream
- intensive night cream
- night cream for sensitive skin
I only used Submit Your Article for this syndication and I have Rss plugin that will syndicate my article on autopilot to rss directories.
Submit Your Article Distributing
Started:18 Feb and
Ended 21 March
so lets see what happened:
- “night cream” was far and a far away in the google galaxy, page 29
- “intensive night cream” was on page 3
- “night cream for sensitive skin” was on page 2
- One week later same results,
- 2 weeks later same results nothing moving up or down.
- 4 weeks later litle movement up in the ladder, nothing to brag about.
As I mentioned before Submit Your Articles started Distributing 18 Feb and Ended 21 March and now it’s 27 April and my rankings are:
“night cream” was far and away not ranked pre- SYA and is now on page 5 almost on page 4, so i see page 4 on the horizon.
“intensive night cream” is number 1 on page 1 in Google
“night cream for sensitive skin” is number 1 on page 1 Google
Now the backlinks benefits:
In Yahoo explorer it shows only 26 backlinks and same numbers shows in BacklinkWatch. Not great numbers backlinks here at all.
But on the other hand it got my keywords to rank.

From Dan: He asked me to cancel the service subscription because he doesn’t want to use it any more. Next time we chat on Skype I will ask him why he doesn’t want to use it any more and perhaps we will get some more details.
In the meantime, please leave a comment and ask whatever questions you might have about this submit Your Articles review so I don’t have to keep going back and forth asking question after question about this service, the review, the keyword competition, niche competition etc…

First off, I do think that overall you probably give the best reviews on your site and I thank you for that. Because you all did them personally, it is fairly easy to decide if something is worthwhile or not, since your standards and metrics don’t change much. Of course they change over time, but so do the programs and therefore the latest reviews done by yourself still hold a lot of value.
But, when you start outsourcing reviews, the entire value of the review/blog becomes close to zero. Reason being is that everybody has different standards and does different tests and since I don’t know or have any background information from the guest reviewer, it makes it pretty much worthless to read, as there is no reference point and his standards might be very different then yours or mine.
Take this review, apparently great results in the end, but the overall feel of the review is “don’t use this program”.
Why?
Nobody knows except the guest reviewer and even if we ask him all the questions and he answers them, it still doesn’t hold nearly as much value as a personal review done by you, as you often use the same kind of metrics to review a site and most likely this wasn’t your website, so therefore you don’t know the history, which in turn means that any and all kind of reasons can exist why the website started ranking and it is nearly impossible to either confirm or deny if the reason has anything to do with the particular program used.
Sorry for the maybe a bit harsh comment, but I’d thought I’d express my opinion anyway.
But again, I do appreciate very much all that you have done, I just hope the next review will be done by you again.
Paul, thanks for holding my feet to the fire here. I think next time I will go the same route but have some of my own websites put into the mix so I get to post the stats and metrics I know we all want. I’m going to flesh out the review some more if I can get the additional data we all want,

I think you are being a little too harsh there. The truth is that there are jsut too many services out there. As long as Dan dicloses who did the test.
What would you rather have? No test or Dan basically saying “Sorry I had no time, had to run a marathon?”
A link building system really has two outcomes. and its meant to be used by the average Joe. Maybe Dan can lay out a template for testers.
But still, the congregation was not stopped from continuining because the Bishop could not make it.
So, he saw late results after using the service ? Starting mid of February he saw results after 2 months, right? He submitted one ultra-spunned article or what ? Unique articles? Each day? Can we please get more in details ?

Sounds like a dud to me. I’ll stick with AMR and ArticleRanks for the time being.
I agree with Sean, for the price of this service, the results suggest that AMR would be a better alternative.
I kind of agree with Paul tbh. The value of your blog comes from your vast knowledge and experience, not that of others who we don’t really know from Adam. By all means take input from your readers, but I personally think this should be suplimentary to your own thoughts.
