Effective + Automated Link wheels Set up
As a follow up to my series of posts on Link wheels referenced below, I thought I’d share what I consider to be a more effective and efficient use of your time
Part One – LinkWheels – What are LinkWheels and do they work?
Part Two – Testing out linkwheels,
Part Three – Link wheels best practices
Part Four – Results from the link wheels experiment
Before I begin, let me say that link wheels do work if you put the time into building up, promoting and backlinking to all your satellite sites, (your outer ring of 3d party-controlled, Web 2.0 properties linking inwardly to your main sites at some point).
Linkwheels results from the link wheels experiment
This should be the final post in this series on link wheels.
It appears that the linkwheel I outsourced has been done for 2 weeks now. I missed the email sent to me with the account and url details, and since I didn’t see any real changes in the SERPs, I assumed the project was still pending.
The linkwheel project:
Immediate Objective:
To create a network/webring of content/site accounts/web 2.0 profiles to link inwardly and to each other for a certain keyword term/phrase.
Long-term Objective:
Link wheels best practices
As I mentioned in a previous post on Linkwheels, I outsourced some linkwheel creation to the guys at maxdesk.com.

In the previous post, LinkWheels – What are LinkWheels and do they work? I mentioned using SE Nuke to develop linkwheels with click-button ease (once you get software to actually work).
However, if you’re averse to spending money on a monthly service, there’s always another option and that’s to hire someone to develop a linkwheel for you.
So that’s what I decided to do…
I outsourced a linkwheel to see if these people could produce any positive results and to see if the links helped the main sites rank better…
LinkWheels – What are LinkWheels and do they work?
There’s a new term out these days called LinkWheels and it’s something I’ve been doing on a very limited basis the past few months.
What is/are Linkwheels?
It is the tying together, or connectivity involved in having links from web 2.0 properties pointing towards your main sites.
This is nothing new, but it will gain in popularity once people grab onto this “new SEO trick” as something new that gives them an upper hand, SEO-wise…
Here’s how I have used it with just 2 Web 2.0 properties, Squidoo and Hub Pages:
