The Link Juicer & Traffic Bug reviews

Just an FYI that I will be doing reviews on the Traffic Bug and The Link Juicer link building/traffic generation services soon.

My case study review on The Link Juicer will last 90 days, will focus on a brand new site, and will be at least 4-5 posts.

My case study review on Traffic Bug has already started will be a bit shorter, and I’ve already started to use their service for a new site that just got indexed, has a lot of competition for its main keywords, but the domain name (mlmleadsystemproreview dot org) should nullify 99% of the competition anyways.

The first posts for the Link Juicer & Traffic Bug reviews should be coming out real soon, since I joined both of them today.

  2. I will be very interested on the results of your review on Traffic bug.
I have always been skeptical about automated systems such as these. Nethertheless I decided to try traffic bug as it was recommended by “The 30 Day Challenge” who I have a very high regard for.

I joined under the 40 days free trial that was given to members of 30DC.

I am now into the 26th day of the trial and so far I have seen nothing to change my mind about automated systems.

I entered four of my blogs at various stages of age and implementation.

I entered the blogs and several urls to articles as advised.

One I have had for a couple of years and has consistently been 2,3,4,5 in google with various keywords both broad and phrase match.

One that had already been indexed by google and two that I had created a short while ago.

Over the 26 days I have constantly monitored the sites and have seen no evidence at all of any activity due to the efforts of traffic on any of the blogs despite the number of bookmarks, search engine submissions and directory submissions shown as being submitted.

No I am not one of those guys who expect miracles but heck after 26 days I would expect at least something to slip through.

These are my global stats to date.

Total Directories Submissions: 140 = 420 minutes Saved
Total Social Bookmarks Made: 603 = 1206 minutes Saved
Est Time Saved With Traffic Bug: 1789 Minutes

So it will be interesting to see what your results are like.

    Regards

  4. Hi, thanks for chiming in…

I’m hesitnat to reveal results thus far, but my tohughts going into this were that after a certain point there’s really no benefit to using this service.

The law of diminishing returns comes into play after the first 30 days I would assume, since we’d be maxx-ed out on the RSS submissions, the sites should already be indexed by then, and for the long-term all you’re getting is more and more NoFollow social bookmarking links…

And getting indexed doesn’t mean much to me anyways, since submitting your sitemap to google Webmasters gets you indexed in a day or two anyways…

I’ll try not to have pre-disposed opinion until I’ve tried this for 90 days, but I do have a feeling this isn’t worth doing bweyond the first month.

Best bet would be to just enter in all your sites so the bare bones basic SEO tasks of site, directory and RSS submissions are done.

    We’ll see what happens.

You should test out related URLs, by the way, not just main domain name urls

  6. I’ve seen no benefit from traffic bug so far. In fact one url is dropping like a stone. The 30DC crew are a bunch of scum IMO especially that joker, Ed Dale.

  8. Geez man, how long were you with TB?

I’m tempted to quit because the very nature of this service isn’t conducive to improving SERPS unless you do certain things that do NOT save you time.

I’ll give this at least 60 days testing time, but I’ve already found something that beats any RSS submissions software out there, and that was the main reason I joined TB aside from honoring a blog reader’s request to review a service

  10. My primary reason for going with TB was to build backlinks.
I started with Traffic-Bug with the 30DC and continued after the trail stopped thought I’d give it a fair chance but in the 6 to 7 weeks it has produced nothing, no results and no backlinks.
    What other software is available?
    regards,
    Jo

  12. Hey Jo,

You have to give TB 3 months to see the real effects is my guess.
Backlink checkers are worthless, and real results are always measured by your rankings.

Most people, myself included aren’t using TB to link to related URLS, and methinks that’s where the real value is going to kick in, by linking to other urls on your site…

What are other services are there!?

These are the top 4 I’ve tested.. out of about 15-20 that I’ve tested so far

The Link Juicer looks pretty powerful, but jury’s still out on that one… I am testing 50 different urls with that service, all with varying degrees of difficulty.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello.

    Dan

P.S. This here is probably the best band for the buck for link building tools

  14. Although I don’t share Rory’s dislike for Ed Dale and the 30DC gang, I agree with him that Ed has really dropped the ball when it comes to Traffic Bug.

Anyone considering Traffic Bug should carefully read all 4 pages of this Warrior Forum thread:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/internet-marketing-product-reviews-ratings/110417-anyone-using-traffic-bug-4.html#post1345985

The information there is too detailed and coming from too many different people to be suspect (although every once in a while you’ll see a short post from someone claiming to have success, but even the other people posting there suspect those posts are coming from Michael Roberts himself.

My own experience with Michael Roberts and Traffic Bug has been nothing short of a disaster. His so-called “support” department is quite obviously outsourced to some third-party support solution in a third world country somewhere, whose people clearly know nothing about the Traffic Bug software. The only thing they know how to do is to facilitate transactions. (In other words, they’re good at taking your money, and nothing else). They lied to me on several occasions about having the “CEO” contact me, and when I finally found the CEO’s email address and contacted him complaining about all of the problems with his support department, his response was to refund my money and ban me from the service! He didn’t bother to check into what I was telling him until after the fact, and when he did, he sent me an email letting me know that I was correct in my assessment, but instead of apologizing to me and trying to make it right and thanking me for bringing it to his attention and sincerely trying to help, he’s decided to pay these idiots in his outsourced support department to go through the 30DC themselves so that they can learn to answer questions like, “What is a backlink”!

This is the most outrageous display of incompetence I have ever seen, from the support department AND from the CEO, Michael Roberts. The support department can’t support anything and has no problems lying to the customers, and Michael, while he may be a genius when it comes to software engineering (which remains to be seen), clearly knows nothing about running a business. Of course, what can you expect from a 24-year old kid still wet behind the ears?

After almost 2 months of use, I actually had a couple of sites banned from Google because of some of the backlinks that Traffic Bug alledgedly created, however, I was never able to verify even one single backlink from them. Most of the people in the Warrior Forum felt the same way.

Traffic Bug is a scam, plain and simply. Save yourself some money and just do it manually. It’s a pain, but it’s worth it!

  16. Rick, sorry to hear about those issues.

I think Ed and 30DC gang really messed up big time here, trying to prop up Roberts as the next “guru” of the IM world.

Most of the newbies in the Warrior Forum and 30 DC forum are clueless and too impatient to wait for results from using services. Rick I don’t think you’re a newbie but you’re yet another wholly dis-satisfied customer, mainly on the shabby treatment end of things, but also for poor link building effects. It seems to me that the conventional wisdom and opinions is that Traffic Bug sucks on a number of levels, but I will reserve my final opinion until the end of the month. As it stands right now, it’s only good for their Related URLS feature, I think.

Oh, and one more thing… You can’t go around saying a service got your site banned, because it’s simply not ture and you should stop propagating that myth (that bad links can get you banned). Read this post here to see what I mean.

You don’t get banned for getting bad backlinks, it’s common sense.

Rick I appreciate the feedback here, thank you for contributing to the discussion,

    Dan

  18. I think that Link Juicer is a pretty cool service, what are your results? I like the interface, and the concept and it does seem to improve my rankings.

However I feel that it could benefit from more members and more Web 2.0 properties, to spread your content around. It would also be nice to have a reporting feature for people who aren’t following the rules.

    Thanks for the honest reviews,

    Shelby

  20. Hi Shelby, I agree with you in that TLC works well while needing more links, properties, members etc….

I can probably get a steady stream of people into TLC,but want to make sure they reach some sort of settling point prior to promoting it as an affiliate. Look at what happened to Traffic Bug, it flopped big time because they didn’t test it long enough.

My results were exhibited here on my Link Juicer Results post

    Thanks,

    Dan

P.S. Once a few more things get added to TLJ, this’ll probably get put into my top 4
