The idea behind Track Back Spider is creating links to your site by faking links to others blogs. The concept behind a track is that if you comment on your blog with a link to another blog, that blog will do a link back to your site. Because some bloggers actually check their link back links, Track Back Spider provides cloaking to make the blogger think you actually did do a track back. Track Back Spider suggests that by using the cloaking script that you can increase the accepted links by 3-5%.
What Track Back Spider does is tries to find blogs that are applicable to your site. They do this by you providing them keywords. The more keywords you provide them, the more likely they are to find more blogs for you to get track back links from.
After creating a job with up to 1,000 keywords, you allow the track back spider to start looking through the web for applicable blogs that still do track back links.
Track Back Spider suggests you wait 24 hours to allow the software to find all applicable blogs.
Once Track Back Spider is done finding blogs to do track backs to, you are ready to create an account on the poster by using the job that just finished finding blogs posts to track back too. When you create the new account on the poster you can choose to use the cloaking script or not, you can choose the time of day you want to run the posting, and if you want to include no follows in with the posts. And at that point you just let it run.
Now that you know how it works let’s talk about the product itself.
I was asked to do this by someone who thought it was too complicated. Let me be honest, if you watch the videos, figuring out the basics of track back spider is really easy to follow if you’re not doing the cloaking.
The next question I would be asked is cloaking worth doing? Track Back Spider suggests that you get a 3-5% increase in acceptance by using the cloaking script. From 2 months of using this product, this claim is simply false. I got the exact same results using the cloaking script as not using the cloaking script. I will talk more about cloaking later as well.
Track back spider was able to find over 10,000 applicable blogs for 3 of the sites I was testing it on. Unfortunately, Track Back Spider was only able to get 500 or less sites to accept the track backs. Even worse, the entire track backs where not indexed by any of the search engines. Though they “show” the links, they aren’t easy to access. Track Back Spider doesn’t provide a csv or report of any kind to be able to take the links and get them indexed. But at $200 a month, you shouldn’t have to spend more money to get these links indexed.
Track Back Spider goes against the rule we all should keep in mind when building links. Google has said, “Would you do this if we weren’t around”? If Google wasn’t around would you try to fake blog posts for a link? If Google wasn’t around would you try to visually fake out a blogger with a fake link on your site? The answer to both of these is an emphatic NO. Forget the fact that it costs $200 a month, and the track back links aren’t getting indexed, these types of links don’t pass the Google test. I can make an argument for most other types of links, but I can’t here. If you legitimately created a blog post, with a link to someone else’s site this would help to build a relationship with that blogger. With Track Back Spider you aren’t building a relationship, you are being tricking others, and hurting your website’s reputation.
This product isn’t recommended:
- The links don’t get indexed
- Zero affect on rankings
- Costs $200
- This product is about tricking others
- This product isn’t grey hat, it’s as blackhat as they come!

Thanks for the honest review. This trackback thing has baffled me and I don’t see any value to this junk. I get trackback comments and delete them immediately. Keep up the good reviews and stay honest, as this is exactly what the SEO community needs.
I run different services, including running SEO for some major online financial websites. My background and experiences are what I based my review on. If someone wants to waste $200 and learn what I just told them, be my guest.
Red flags should go up when you see cloaking!
Red flags should go up when you are tricking a program/system to get a link!
As an online marketer, and someone who tries and ensure my actions would follows the guide line of “would I being doing this of there was no Google” I really feel things like this hurt the overall online experience.
Daniel,
Additionally, Akismet marks some trackbacks as Spam, and I don’t think blog owners check their spam comments and trackbacks.
$200 for this??? That’s insane! At that price you could have outsourcers do some much more white hat methods of link building that will most likely be as effective anyway!
Alex, you could buy 25 articles published on ezinearticles.com and get a copy of them in spin-text (if you choose to use anyway you deem fit
) at $168 from article marketing. That is $32 less than what you are paying for this type of black hat technique from track back spider. Think what you could do with $200 a month.
Month 1
You could purchase Automatic Marketing Robot. And 10 published ezinearticles.com articles (with a copy of each in spin-text) from article marketing service. You could use the new 10 spun articles with your AMR account.
Month 2
You could purchase SEO Link Robot. And 10 published ezinearticles.com articles (with a copy of each in spin-text) from article marketing articles.
You could use the 10 new spun articles with your AMR account and your SEOLR account.
Month 3 and on
You could purchase 25 published ezinearticles.com articles (with a copy of each in spin-text) from search engine optimization article.
You could use the 25 spun articles created each month with your AMR account and your SEOLR account.
With the remaining $32 a month you could simply save each month. Or you could add another another $18 more dollars a month and find a blog content network that is $50 a month (there are plenty out there).
The reality is there are so many effective things that are out there that make more sense, as you said Alex there are o many better ways to spend your $200 than on this black hat software!
Please Note:
I tested out this product and did a deep investigation into its application to how it works. The cost is what I was told by a few of the new users. Track back spider is currently closed to new users, so I have had to rely on a few of the users who asked me to review the product. I haven’t received a 100% verification on the monthly cost.
However, whether the cost is $10, $50, $100, $150, or $200 Track Back Spider is simply not worth the money, time, energy, or loss or your websites reputation!
Do the articles purchased from articlesearchenginemarketing.com contain spintax and then are submitted to ezinearticles.com by them? Are the articles submitted to the other big article directories such as goarticles.com and articledashboard.com?
If you want SEO Articles, then they submit one to EZA get it approved, then spin it and submit to Article Marketing Robot, too, if you wish. Or just do on-site content articles, up to you
Thanks Daniel.
We can work something out where we submit it to AMR as well.
Though its not on the site, we can also do on-site content articles as well.
They are published on ezinearticles.com first, and then you are given a copy of the articles in spintext.
If the keyword is a term that ezinearticles.com wont allow, another article directory like goarticles.com is chosen to have the article published too.
Can we submit the article that we get from you to our own account at ezinearticles.com or is it mandatory that you submit the article under your account instead?
How long would it take you to do 25 articles for me?
We can give you the article both normal and in spin-text and let you submit it, we have no problem with that.
When we do it, we ensure it gets published, if we give you the article, we don’t ensure that.
But yes, we can give you the article for yourself to submit.
We could have it done by Wednesday.
