I realize that link building can be a time-consuming process, especially if you have a lot of sites, and the same holds true for publishing relevant content to your sites.

So here’s a list I am gathering (might want to bookmark this page) of the places from which to get free content that is somewhat unique.  Also included on here is a link to a plugin that searches for images by keywords and then gives you the embed code to insert into your posts.

Free Content…

UAW Plugins for Various Article Directories for all types of publishing platforms not just WordPress.  Just install the scripts and/or plugins and start receiving the content and publish only what you want (is dependent on your categories, category tags, and slugs

The link to get whatever resource you need from Unique Article Wizard is here

Syndicate Kahuna- Same as above they give you something to upload to your site then you start receiving articles as drafts,  Just go through your drafts and publish the most relevant and best quality articles.

You can go to Syndicate Kahuna’s site here

MyArticleNetwork - As part of their paid service you can add a blog to their network of 20,000 blogs to receive semi-unique content to your sites.

But there is a membership level that is free if you only want to receive content and that link is here

Free images from PicApp - There is a plugin for WordPress that PicApp has out that allows you to insert royalty-free stock images into your posts.  This is great for bloggers who want to liven up their blogs with more visually appealing content.

  • You download the plug-in,
  • Activate it,
  • Register for PicApp (link for that is inside WordPress Admin Panel)
  • Register and activate your PicApp account

To actually use this plugin to insert images into posts

  • Write a new post or edit an existing one,
  • Then do a search for a keyword in the WordPress writing area
  • PicApps searches for images on their site for related images and give you an embed code that will insert a creative or an editorial into your post

Editorials from PicApp – this inserts an image, same as the creative but the alt text is actually an article/editorial.

Honorable Mention – EzineArticles.com

Go to EzineArticles.com and at the very top of their page is a search function, type in your keywords at the top and a list of articles will be returned.  I’m not sure how their search function is organized, if it’s based upon relevancy of keywords or articles to search phrase entered, or by most published articles, most recently published articles, or by their categories, etc….

Please leave a comment below if you know of any other ways to get free semi-unique content, high quality content, and relevant content onto your sites as this would help others make publishing quality content a lot easier.

Ezinearticle has almost every content for your keyword, but am not sure, we can use their content at our own site, by making it quality spin and getting on the unique content for our own money site?

Yes, you could do that, but it’s not automated unless you pull in category feeds

Thanks dan for reply :)

Because i got one content from ezine, i did good spinning and have created 100 different spun content from one seed article. Now he is asking me to place his original content across all those directories, where i have did submissions. Otherwise, he will ask my hosting provider to shut down my site…..I don’t know why he want me to use his original content

Maybe I miseed something here.

Who is “he” and why would anyone threaten you with a complain to your hosting provider.

Are you republishing EzineArticles articles improperly by stripping out all the links?

Or are you republishing articles, stripping out links and rewriting them?

Yes, this one – republishing articles, stripping out links and rewriting them.

I have copied the exact content, than created 100 different variations from that one(seed) article…off course, am using my links within the content and at author sections.

OK, I’m not sure why you’d want to create 100 versions of an article that says pretty much the same thing, and wouldn’t be that readable, and publish on your site. It’s the same sub-par conten tin spades.

As someone who writes and syndicates articles I dislike it very much when someone scrapes my EZAs with proper attribution/credit, so if you’re going to continue down this road, scrape the content, save in draft form first, change the titles first, then the article body substantially, then do with it what u will.

Still not sure if this is worth doing, most rewritten content doesn’t read well anyways

Cool, what is your approach towards this, let say if you want to do article submissions than you write new article for every site?

Yeah, pretty much.

Every adsense publisher i know of who has good success (5 figures/month income with Adsense) uses unique articles for their sites, and spin the articles they distribute elsewhere

Ok so they make hand-written articles for their money sites and spin articles for submissions (distribution)…Gotcha!

Yup, although there are other ways to get good enough content for your sites that you can legally edit to heart’s content, most of the big money-makers in Adsense that I know can afford to pay article writers for unique on-site content and for article submissions and syndication

Hey Dan, I wanted to say thanks for the quick response to my concern about the Automatic Article Submitter-So thank you. Also in response to this post, this is something that is extremely helpful for maintaining consistency for our blog posts. Thanks for the great tips. I will look out for anymore sites to add to your list. I also use the wordpress plugin called insights that adds images, videos, news, books and a couple of other things to the posts, at the click of a button. I use it to add some life to some of my posts. Also Zemanta plugin is great as well.
